I have gone through 3 sets of the MPSC2-ZP in my Z07 equipped C7Z06, now the car is on the equal compound but different tread MPSS-ZP. This same car on Hoosier is vastly faster, 0.2-0.3g increase on later grip. Even on the RE71R, my Vette had better g-forces than the MPSC2-ZP, and RE71R do not delaminate like MPSC2-ZP.

On equal tires, and normal size racetracks, 991.1 or 991.2 GT3 or RS, it is more the driver that would determine the best laps. An average advanced driver in a 991.2 GT3 RS can't stand a chance against a pro driver in a 991.1 GT3 on same compound tires.

I track on real track rubber, street tires are for that: street driving.
It's about Warranty here in Europe.
Nowdays you can't change to "aftermarket parts" or ok you can but you will lose the warranty.

Pretty sure this new ‘R’ tyre will be substantially faster.

A pro driver friend of mine loses over a second per minute after 4 sessions on these tires on his street Z06 and has to change them out after 7-8 sessions. As they say, your mileage may vary.

If MPSC2-R last half of what normal MPSC2 do or cost twice as much, hoosiers make more sense. But driving to track is tricky/impossible with them :-(

So that sounds about right to me: a ‘Pro’ driver gets about one track (HPDE) weekend of 7-8 sessions out of a set of the ZPs; I was getting at least two as an amateur ‘weekend warrior’ in an Advanced group. And they do tend to go ‘off’ somewhat after 4-5 ‘hot’ laps but are extremely controllable; at least in a well balanced car like a C7 Z06.

I love all you Porsche nuts but this is a lot of speculation on a tire no one has seen any technical documentation on (that I'm aware of), physically seen or driven on. If you've come across any information beyond the Auto Bild track test (by far the best data point to date), please point me to it.
I think all we know for sure at this point is that it's faster than the "regular" MPSC2 in its current iterations/compounds.

I would stay away from any of the run-flat versions for a track day (this applies to any tire), and if anyone is trying to source Trofeo Rs don't hesitate to PM. I searched for months but finally found a source for the 345s. They were next to impossible to find.
