My guess is the real difference is the suspension on the car made a big difference over the newer Cup2 tires. The stiffer springs the new RS has will really make the car more of a track car than the .1 soft setup. If I decide to keep my car I might throw a set of MCS 3-way shocks on the car along with stiffer springs and see how it performs.

WOW, impressive stuff. Cant wait for my lizard with WP to be built and see how it compares at the track vs my current .1 RS. However since I'm not a pro, suspect wont matter much in my laps times, but no doubt I will looking really freaking cool!

Very impressive. The difference between the .1 GT3 and .1 RS was 5 seconds. If the sub 7 stands it is nothing less than amazing. Now looking at 16 seconds between the current versions. That certainly widens the gap. Curious to see what the actual Porsche "official" time will be.

No doubt tires played an important role in the significant improvement in Ring times. But you could also say the Weissach package. Mag wheels, 20 more hp and suspension played a role. It's a freaken .2GT3RS! What's your point? Do you consider an improvement of 10 seconds incremental?
P.S Weissach pack and such in no way will make up 2 seconds on a 90 second lap as per the latest Autobild test at Sachsenring running the Cup R vs the N2 tyre. Tyres are by far the biggest factor in performance improvement of late.

I like the fire...however I find it comical. If you drive a .1 then a .2 back to back I guarantee you will feel it's incremental.
But go ahead and buy what you like. Doesn't affect me either way.

Correct and our Porsche GT cars are much more compliant and nice to drive on the street compared to the domestic variants ie. Z28, Z06, ACR, etc. I've had all of those as well and they bounce around on the street.

The 991.1 RS runs 11.1-11.2 1/4 mile times bone stock and traps mid to highs 125mph, 3 tenths quicker to 120mph would place my car on the 10.8-10.9secs 1/4 mile, which is impressive for a 2WD normally aspirated car.
The FabSpeed long tube and the Dundon race headers are pretty similar on design, the power gains are noticeable and the timing equipment shows it. My car is not tuned, stock ECU. There are tests showing better gains in the regular 991.1 GT3 than the gains in the 991.1 GT3 RS with the same long tube headers.
No idea how much will be gained in the 991.2 GT3/GT3 RS engine with these headers, but Porsche makes very restrictive cats and the short stock headers are the result of space limitations, there is no room for long tube headers and cats, and all the needed mufflers to quite down these cars.
The sound it makes is one of the best sounds I have heard on a street car. I don't trust dynos that much, too many variables, I prefer the 60-90, 60-100, 60-110, 60-120,60-130mph tests, these ones show the true performance gains.

No biggie. My GT3 can beat that time. I just need a set of headers. ![hiha](https://rennlist.com/forums/graemlins/roflmao.gif)

I did a series of test runs from 0-120+ mph, by 120mph (VBox Sport, same temperatures, same test road) my 991.1 GT3 RS on FabSpeed Long Tube headers (no cats) and stock center Ti muffler was exactly 0.3 secs quicker. The difference to 60mph is negligible, but from 80mph and up it builds quite a gap.

Did he ever run it bone stock in similar conditions to compare? Atco is one of the quickest and fastest tracks in the country
