OP to your first post , oem pads are Pagid as Zedcat stated ; on my .1 plenty adequate for the performance especially as you learn the car for the number of events till replacement is due . If you run other pads than oem don't count on warranty support for ceramic puck break down which is a likely event when lap
count accumulates .

Stock pads are fine. They are indeed Pagid. Once the black paint came off the side of the pad material, mine appear to be yellow. Not saying that it is the same compound as the RS29 though, I just don't know. But still, I wouldn't swap them out, use them.

I installed DS1.11 (Thanks Clark!), Castrol SRF fluid, and Spiegler brake lines on my .2 GT3 before my first event at Sebring. Performance was excellent with no brake fade and VERY solid/responsive brake input.

I then took my 991.1 RS to Sebring and kept the stock pads/brake lines. Replaced brake fluid with Castrol SRF. Brake also did not fade, but pedal was noticeably softer and braking was definitely not as good as with the DS1.11.

I will likely try the RaceTechnologies RE10's during my next pad change in the .2 GT3 (I'll call you Clark!). I used them in my GTB1 Cayman and they were excellent with regards to braking performance and durability. They weren't too aggressive on the rotor and lasted pretty long.

Regarding the ceramic puck you and mentioning, I haven’t checked yet.

Fade isn’t just from boiling, it comes from pad materials over heating as well. Sounds like everyone is in agreement that stock steel pads are good enough and most replace them with pads that are streetable (enough). Pagid blacks were too loud on the street in my past car.
Not the same as 987 and other shims. These are bonded to the pad. I don't know their role but the dealer pointed to them when denying to replace the calipers.

Ah interesting. Thanks for sharing the pic. Do you know if these are only on the front brakes?

They are on the OEM rear pads also. For 991.1 GT3. Any .2 owners have a look yet at the pads and caliper pistons?

Agreed they are Pagid. I highly doubt they are the RS29 compound because the RS29 feels, sounds and performs differently than the OEM pad.
