Stock pads on track experience

Has anyone tried the stock pads on track? I’m coming from a 987 cayman S that had A GT3 master brake cylinder and used pagid black.
The stock pads on the .2 GT3 squeal and seem to but very well on the street, anyone know how close they are to pagid black compound?
My sessions will only be ~20 mins so I’m wondering if the stock pads will be good enough to avoid fading 20 mins into a DE session. Since changing the pads is more of a PITA since the calipers are closed and you need to remove them to change the pads.

Same here. Stock pads on RS and GT4 were fine and then went to RS29.

2) OEM pads are more akin to orange

Fine for the first day or two.
After that I prefer Race Technologies RE10 if you're staying with steel rotors.
Last long, so less labor swapping.
Ask Clarke at Apex.
If you have PCCB, not much available and stock is fine.

The stock pads should not fade because of the brake pad materials. Its my understanding that brake fade typically is a result of boiled brake fluid. The stock pads may begin to melt and cause brake judder though, but this will depend on many factors that create heat and could begin to melt the stock pads. I've experienced this with stock pads on a 991s. I'm using the PFC 11's on my GT3.2 with no squeal at this time. (I've also heard that the Ferodo DS 1.11's are quite good)

Does the .2GT3 have the ceramic "pucks" on the caliper pistons like the .1GT3? If so, may want to consider the risk of cracking them with track use. In my case I was denied warranty coverage to replace the calipers because I was using aftermarket pads. The oem Pagid pads have a thin shim layer (insulation? or cushion?) on the backing plate that the ceramic pucks contact. The pads I was using had a plain metal backing plate. Pad taper may be a factor too although mine were wearing very evenly. After replacing the calipers I went back to oem pads. They're ok, but I'd prefer more initial bite.

yes those are anti squeal shims. I pulled them out years ago on my 987.
Regarding the ceramic puck you and mentioning, I haven’t checked yet.
Fade isn’t just from boiling, it comes from pad materials over heating as well. Sounds like everyone is in agreement that stock steel pads are good enough and most replace them with pads that are streetable (enough). Pagid blacks were too loud on the street in my past car.
