Happy.

more durable, no clutches, no trans cooler valves going bad, no mufflers cracking.
better brakes, better SC so you can run it adding safety.

only downsides are less steering feel on/over the limit and having to buy aftermarket Ti brake caliper pucks.

i personally don’t miss a manual and love PDK.

I just don't think they are comparable cars. Both fantastic cars, but not really comparable.

The 991 RS is much more fun to me. I almost never drive my 997.1RS. I drive a 1969 M-B 280SE coupe with a 4 speed manual to work, 993 6spd after...PDK-S always makes me happy when I jump in it.

Pic of W111.
one day I will have one. And a 6.3 to keep the 6.9 company.

but the W111 is the prettiest of them all.

Agree....when just taking it easy the 997 is more of an event than the 991. 991 is boring when driving slow.

But when you're really pushing the 991 its quite a special car.

Happy to oblige another Heckflosse fan. It’s a hand-built guilded German tank-cruiser. This one was nut and bolt restored, but still a driver at current prices IMO...can’t say the same for the cabriolets however.

I had both versions of the rs. The cars were stock with the exception of a harness bar but I do believe the steering feel and the feeling of the contact with the road was much better on the 997.2 rs. The new RS is much faster and more stable at speed on track and the PDK versus manual shifting, there is no comparison. The 997.2 manual gearbox was definitely not up to par for a car of this range with respect to syncros and shifter gates and is a car you have to caress the shift. I think the new RS has a much better rear differential and a softer ride but all things being said both are amazing cars and I don't miss my old car.

Every year Porsche makes better cars. The new rs will be better than the previous every time.

Dark metallic emerald. Silver always a winner on MB coupes. Would have loved full Gestapo black coupe, but hard to find.

280SE coupe, you must be an architect. you need a pagoda as well

997 vs 991, i like 991
some say 997 steering is better, i am not sure it's better. it juswt vibarates more.
vibration is not necessary "feedback"

997.1 GT3 vs 991.1 GT3RS Love them both for different reasons. (Talking track driving)

991.1 GT3RS is a speed machine, it just want to go fast, it is just amazing how it feeds on speed.
997.1 GT3 is smaller, simpler, put in the ignition key and just drive. Nervous front end=interesting :-) and scary when moving from 991 to 997.
