But the thing is that a used 2016 991.1 RS is going for 260k to 280k canadian $ used with very low miles and a brand new R8 RWS IS 163K canadian$. The RS price bracket is way to high for me to contemplate. So wait for the next gt4?

Try the R8 RWS while you wait.. Its an enjoyable daily driver. If you don't like it, by that time will be close to the gt3/992.

Which dealer is this? The R8 will depreciate more heavily. The best option would be to cop the GT4, then upgrade to the GT3.

Wait to see what motor is in the GT4. If it is a 4.0 then it is an obvious choice. Get in line along with everyone else.

R8 are soo underrated. And they are very quick even on track conditions. So i can imagine rwd will be more fun and tricky to drive. You will get exotic feeling and sound is pretty much one of nicest from current production cars. Try one. Don't worry about depreceation etc. With this limited production it shouldnt be heavy. Don't pay over sticker especially 60k ! Thats insane. I see 911 on every corner and not much of R8 or any. GT4 is damn involving, but since you don't plan to track it's pointless. Not a good choice for a real world. You will be more happy with R8.

Buy the Audi. If it's on your radar, it's for a reason. There are many ways to articulate it, but in the end, it's a supercar. You could always trade it in later.

That gt4 looks AMAZING. The 991.2 gt3 in chalk next to it almost looks tame in comparison. You can see the green gt4 in in windows from half a mile away.

The Audi is like a GT4 on steroids. It would likely attract more attention than even that green GT4.
It's every bit an exotic, but can be used daily with no problem.

Another option would be a 991.1 GT3.

R8 RWS seems like a miss to me. Not based on Plus model, no special interior or exterior trim (how about carbon buckets? maybe carbon roof?)...I don't think they tried very hard.

You can't get a GT3. You are not taking it to the track. Get the R8 RWS, that 5.2l V10 is a delight !

For the price of a new RWD R8, I will get a slightly used V10 Plus.

Or even a new one. The leftover 2017's were being marked down $30k or more!
