Well...it was 75 degrees, very light traffic and the GT3 was itching to go.

Rudy’s BBQ is solid, Sam. The drive was great, too. Awesome scenery, and this car sounds so good blasting through the mountains. After about an hour of twisties, high-speed sweepers, streams, well-maintained roads, zero cops and very light traffic, you end up at the entrance to Pikes Peak (or BBQ a bit further down). One day i am going to leave early and combo up this drive with Pikes Peak. Hard to beat anywhere in the USA imo. It starts 15 minutes from my house.

Have fun this weekend!

Looks like a great time. I am new to Colorado, live in Lone Tree. What route did you take? Would love to get out and explore and git some BBQ!

Hey, welcome to Colorado! I took 285 south to pine junction, then took pine valley road to manitou springs, and then past Pikes Peak to Rudy’s. Here is the route i took. Great drive. About an hour and 30 minutes one way from my house. One of my favorite drives.

Awesome! Thanks, I just drove up to Conifer and checked out Staunton State Park. Gorgeous area. Might try to do this Saturday.

I would recommend doing it during the week, if at all possible. Traffic will be very light, especially in the morning. You run into campers on the weekend, and it becomes a pass-fest.. I rarely drive my GT3 on the weekends anymore. The roads are too good on the weekdays. This is the road you want, but i have several more that are also excellent.

Did Pikes Peak today. A bit too much traffic but it was a beautiful day.

Amazing Pics. I envy you guys with the high mileage cars. I took my RS for a 4 hour trip and was paranoid about the possibility of a Flat. Are you guys on Cup2's or did you switch to another tire?

Nice, Rob! I’ll have to join you sometime. Did the engine feel pretty anemic near the top?

Definitely Grant. Engine felt fine the entire way. Didn’t notice any loss of response.

How long do your tires last? Do you track your car or mainly do canyon runs?
