I'm tracking my GT4 as much as possible while I wait for the GT3. Then I have to make a tough decision. Sell the house, kids and wife... or keep the GT4 along with the GT3.

At least six and as many as nine track events in the North America. Debating whether we ship a car to Europe or rent one. Haven't finalized our plans but right now thinking three weeks in the UK, two weeks in France, one week in Germany, and one in Greece. Intend to go to the Nurburgring. On top of that, the usual pleasure driving around our own area. Loads of wrenching in between, one suspects.

Road Atlanta Next month then NCM in April then VIR , maybe mid Ohio , then Road America, Watkins Glen, followed by Road Atlanta, and hopefully Sebring in the late fall. Mixed with quite a bit of weekend spirited drives in the beautiful Kentucky countryside.

North on the New Jersey Turnpike, Holland Tunnel, Canal Street, Brooklyn Bridge, Brooklyn Queens Expressway (pick up my son), Triboro (RFK) Bridge, Long Island Expressway, Cross Island Parkway, Cross Bronx Expressway, and back down on 95 South and a lot of little roads in-between! Then a quick stop at the Chiropractor.

Let's see ...

Tracking the GT-R March 5th, then renting 3hrs of seat time in a 991 4L cup car March 6th.

Doing four days of the Advanced and Pro courses at Road Atlanta May 20-23rd with AMG Driving Academy, leaving me to do the Pro+ course on another track in the fall for my SCCA license.

If the GT3 get's delivered early September as scheduled it'll give me enough time to break it in and do a couple of track days in November which is optimal season in the SE.

I think my days of tracking street cars are coming to an end ... I have one of the best Porsche race shops near me so in the short term I'm happy to rent seat time from them on one of their cars, inevitably leading to having a dedicated track car of my own.

Spending a the month of June in Northern AZ off roading/desert running my modified Raptor.

Other than that try to find as many places as I can without other humans to enjoy the open road regardless of which car I'm driving.

In the near term, looking forward to an upcoming weekend trip: Highway 1 to Mendocino, then 128 to Napa. The northern leg of a longer trip I did in my 12C before: http://www.mclarenlife.com/forums/mc...y-leggett.html

Let's see how many fillings I can rattle out in the RS.

I plan to take the back way to and from work throughout break in. Also avoids the pot holes on the interstate.

The car should be here end of March. Weather permitting, I plan on doing exactly what evilfij is planning: back roads to and from work as well as making up reasons for long drives on weekends. Gotta rack up 2,000 street miles quickly so I can play catch up with the 2018 DE season. First track run for me will have to be at Mid-Ohio, my home track that I have more than hundreds of days of track time. This car will be so different from my prior track toy that I expect a steep learning curve, best to do it on a track I can drive with my eyes closed. After that, prep the car trailer and do away tracks, like VIR, Watkins Glen, Road America.............and runs to the coffee shop and grocery . Man, this thread is making me want the next two GT3-less months to pass already!

4 or so track days with the first being next weekend at Spring Mountain then a couple POC events.

Another spring break road trip. Last year we did 2,500 miles in a week. This trip will be up CA, to OR and touch into WA. 2,900 miles. That will be in a few weeks. Can’t wait.
