is this possible via exclusive? better off just paint after?

I wish it was a strap like GT4 or previous gen GT3. would like them either exterior color or CF (wrap after).

have CF trim and CF shifter and other subtle bit of exterior color on the interior so this is the last large piece of "silver" on the inside.

Just have it painted after. Can not be too hard to have it taken off.

Also check with Techart and see what options they have

Now that I think of it - if you find CF handles please let me know

I bought an extra set that I might get painted. I have full leather interior with red stitching and full cf. Would you guys suggest doing gloss black or flat black? I'm leaning toward gloss since the carbon fiber trim is glossy.

Aren't the door pull straps from the GT4 interchangeable? On my GT4 I had replaced my black ones with the red (through Suncoast) and thought they carried a 911 part #.

Anyone know how easy the vents are to remove and paint?

I'm also still curious about the handle-to-strap conversion.. there is a thread on here somewhere which addresses that... ultimate mod.

I got the extra set on ebay. $50 each. The swap looks easy. Just have to take the door panel off and replace them.

Probably over $1500 through exclusive. Buy the part on ebay and get it painted for a few hundred. I'm going to wait until my car comes and see if I can get the handles painted to match the metal on the inside of the steering wheel trim. It seems as if the handles are aluminum or metal plated, not full plastic.

I followed this procedure (though replaced the entire assembly vs just the strap as the OP).

And I am pretty sure the part number is a 991, so perhaps can be directly retro'ed. Straps FTW!

I have full leather coming on my car, I'm just going to have the handles painted gloss black. I had to repaint the handles on my TTS, a real snap, they are plastic of some sort, nothing to it...

I am thinking about painting them or more likely wrapping them depending on how annoyed I am with the Silver once I get the car.

Has anyone finally painted theirs?

I'd love to get mine painted in a satin black but my main concern is longevity. What type of paint or coating can look as if it came from the factory AND last on a daily driven car?
