I went one further I took it to the only approved Porsche body shop here certified by Porsche to work on thier cars with all their guys trained and they said the same thing that these parts don’t fit and they have never seen this before.

Yes I’m dealing with spare parts at the dealership to see if they can sort this out and get the right parts.
They have told me that they do get variations in parts manufactured by third party companies.
if they can’t get me the correct fitting part I will have to go back to chrome trim again which is disappointing.

Or you can do chrome delete by wrapping the chrome in satin black for example at a local wrap shop

Yes I could have but I spent the money to buy what I was led to believe should be a straight swap being all genuine parts.
We are pretty sure there is no way to fit theses parts differently and you can’t reform the trim prices they are pretty solid.
I hope there is an answer maybe this was a bad batch.
mid not I will have to go back to chrome trim.

Anyone here got an allocation or is getting a 992 Touring that has a 991.2 ?
i have an allocation and I have decided to go for it.
what are the 991.2 Tourings doing in the US as I’m in Australia and need to decide which car to keep.
i have a .2 RS and the Touring.
I really love the look of the .2 Touring that even though I will have a 992 Touring I’m not sure if I can part with my current Touring.
First world issue I know I am leaning more towards keeping both Tourings as I early love driving my current Touring and don’t track my cars so my RS is not getting much use since I got my Touring.
any one here in the same situation?

If you have the means then of course just get the 992 Touring, drive it for a bit, then decide which cars to keep and which to part with--or keep them all. Cars are a subjective/emotional experience. No one can say with certainty what you will enjoy or regret. Only you.

That is true
i suppose the 991 Touring to me is one hell of a car as I normally have no issue with trading up for the next model.
Allthough I do like the look of the 992 Touring I’m experiencing a strange emotional attachment to the 991.

Easy, porsche made beautiful pics for the new 992 touring, wtith a very good combination of color and sun light.
The new car has to beat the 991.2 in the real world. Wait and see

I had the opportunity for an allocation, and i decided to keep my 991.2.

Each new GT3 is better to drive - not hindered the growing love for the older ones.
