Thanks, I was thinking maybe a manual was out, be like the Cayenne GTS when it had a manual.

Seems the OP has now posted in the Macan forum since he got conflicting info here.

Can your Elise with open diff easily spin the inside tire on corner exit? More about torque to traction ratio than power to weight.

True re 4 cyl lotus but what about mclaren? They use open diff too yet no one complains about it

Because it's AWD and torque vectors the power between the front and rear as needed. It's the AWD drive system from the 911. The system is bias to the rear. You can monitor the power transfer on the dash. If you disconnected the front drive, the open diff will most likely be noticeable. But as is with the AWD system the Macan does well in the dry/wet/snow without the PTV.
