Well I did buy one. It is more principle to me on these things than the price. I completely understand 10k becomes fairly nominal on a 200k+ car. Even Jay Leno got his new 400k+ Ford GT w/o the titanium exhaust because he thought 18k was ridiculous....I have similar mentality as him. No reason to be a sucker and/or wasteful and Porsche really makes their customers look gluttonous when your paying 30k+ for different color seats/piping/inserts. The ceramics being bought for brake dust was a joke as I have literally heard that numerous times on the forum for the sole reason why they specced them which is insane.

And yeah dot23rs I dont go to any CC or shows either.... I dd the 3rs now and only events I go to are the racetrack where I usually track my m4

My only point here was to pipe down about the pts and CXX being "perfect specs", i've heard this 10000x and its very anti-enthusiast in my eyes. The perfect spec is 911 GT car with a driver in the seat, driving the thing. Been redlining it the past 2 weeks as I just hit about 1,200 miles and this thing is just insane. The metallic whaling banshee of an engine behind the seats is an epic symphony of combustion chaos that is a dying breed of my lifetime

When I order a GT car it’s pretty base. However I got one of the last 2RS cars that was speced with a bunch of CXX stuff. I wouldn’t spec it but I like it. To each their own. A little extra leather and stitching doesn’t make the car slower.

As I continue my search for a 18/19 GT3 that I do not need- I am amazed that there are so many used for sale with multiple owners in some cases, but even more that dealers and some individuals think that a USED car IS WORTH 10-20K OVER MSRP. The last I checked every 911 I have owned were depreciating vehicles like every other car or truck. The premium used might be justified if there were a lack of supply but during my many decades of P car ownership I have never seen so many hardly used 1 year cars for sale as the GT3 and 3RS less so.

For example last night was shown a 210K msrp GT3 with PTS plus plus- was told it was a deal at 199. Probably most optioned out car done on this platform.

They probably feel that they can ask those numbers since its 18 month production ended, the next GT3 model won't come out for a few years, its the only car in its sector with a 9k rpm N/A engine with a 6 speed transmission option, 991.2 well speec'ed Targas GTS or used 991.2 TTS are in the $160k-$180k range and they think they can extract more profit from a GT3, etc. Probably doesn't matter how many are in the market compared to previous gens and they figure they can just sit on them. Then again, it seems most private sellers or people that trade in seems to be getting msrp or under.

The funny part is that these "dreamers" think that prices will go up as we get into summer driving season. Little do they realize that time is NOT on their side and prices will just continue to drift down. The cold reality might set in once the cold fall weather comes and the cars remain unsold. I see the same thing in the real estate market in So Cal....sellers think prices will somehow rise in the summer yet there will be more competition on the market.

There still seems to be a difference between new cars and ones with mileage. Also, the market swelled with many new listings in the last few weeks.

I paid msrp for my 2RS and in touch with a 19 winged 3 at msrp- had a deal with deposit and backed off due to the high msrp- some cars are too loaded with leather etc.
So how STUPID are some of these dealers asking 10-30 over for used winged 3 cars now over a year old- even at depreciated prices do not know if they would sell as any one who wanted one has it.

Always some sucker. Just depends how long they want to dust them off in the showroom before moving them. The bigger shame that I have said 1000 times is folks that actually wanted these to drive and spec for themselves couldn't get them unless of course via ADM.
