"Looks like it was a PEC car" is not the same as dealer told you it WAS a PEC car. If they told you that it was, then I'm sorry for doubting you.

I'm sure they would have to disclose this to potential buyers

Default GT2 allocations

My GT2 goes into production week of Feb 25. PCNA told me February is the end of GT2 production. The car locked before Christmas. PCNA was very rigid on finalizing the specs quickly even ahead of the lock. They were not overly accommodating on Exclusive options wanting to keep it simple and not risking production delays (I did not care much about rejected requests). Dealer also told me it was their last car and confirmed what PCNA started. I 7add all that up and it seems to me production is likely ending but things can change. Whatever, does not matter to me. I like the car, want the car and don’t care if a McLaren or some other car is quicker.

Dont know about GT3.

I’m guessing he was told it was a PEC car, but phrased it less clear.

The GT2RS drag race without a wing, Im wondering if it unbalanced the car, the RS had the advantage of weight on the tail, removing the downforce may have been detrimental

Sales guy said it was from PEC, but it might have been mixed use as well. They do need to disclose this upfront as other less diligent buyers might be swayed as others have on this thread.

Me, personally? I wouldn't buy either. I spec and order my 911s or I pass. But I think most people would much prefer to be the first name on title. Many moons ago, I bought a PDE 911 and it was a gem. In fact, it was my only 996 I miss.

I couldn’t disagree with you two more.
“No matter what”?? So you’d rather have a piece of paper that incorrectly says you’re the only owner, knowing full well it’s been driven by possibly hundreds of different people, on a track daily? Rather then the babied pampered car broken in properly that has had one or two titled owners?
there is a reason that car is only $159k and not selling.

A Porsche SA I spoke with today stated that all the 3RSs that were produced up to this point are all that are going to be produced. He also stated that the 3RSs would not be produced again for another 6 years. Does that sound likely?

He may mean all allocations are sold out and they don’t expect anymore but they are certainly still building N.A. base GT3, GT3RS and GT2RS through March. The question is whether they will continue to build one, two or all three existing models along side the speedster in april.

Probably allocations, though he said there may still be a few “award” cars that may show up. Probably the award cars if any would go to the high volume Porsche dealerships.

Maybe you meant to say GT2RS, won't be produced for another six years (e.g., 997-GT2/2012, 991-GT2RS/2018).

Drive safe,
