yes- these tests and proclamations of the car of the year are stupid.

Have a a good night.
Post 13 of this thread is full of free "inside baseball" information about how these types of tests work in the real world

The tests aren't "stupid", but they are conducted by media outlets that operate under a variety of constraints

I just can't trust ANYTHING THEY SAY WITHOUT THE 812 SUPERFAST IN THE TEST

Agree it’s a bummer no 812 in the test. However, the F12 was included in the EVO COTY competition with the 991.1 GT3 and the GT3 came out the winner, so I’d believe the .2 GT3, particularly a manual .2 GT3 would beat the 812.

The 812 has an incredible engine, but greatly inferior handling compared to a GT3.

The f12 did well tho. Plus the 812 is pretty much tdf 2.0 in terms of handling and with more power, so it isn't shabby at all, nor do I really believe it will be far from gt3 in terms of handling.

Stiffer springs (tdf), rws (in combo with electric steering, so now it doesn't give weird unnatural feelings), I think dampers were improved too. Good aero (low drag, big progressive downforce).
Only things not going for it, it's weight and Front engine, that some people don't like.

I don't see how any of the cars in the test could even compete.

ALL OF THESE MAGAZINES ARE LIARS & IT OUGHT 2 BE ILLEGAL TO CLAIM "CAR OF THE YEAR" WITHOUT TESTING A CAR THAT SOMEONE WANTED TO SEE INCLUDED. NOT FAIR!

The 812 will be very impressive, it's a high end Ferrari that - as you said - is TdF 2.0.

I wonder why the DB11 isn't included.

I mean, if the LC500 and the R8 Spyder are there, why not another luxo-cruiser *** sports car

Because Top Gear has no credibility and is fake news

A REAL magazine would be able to get the Aston Martin DB11!
