Speaking from experience, the MPSC2 are horrible if there is any standing water on the road.

They're great on dry, best I've ever had. They were slippery when brand new when I took delivery in the rain, at night, in the cold. They're okay in the rain, I don't press it because a hydroplane from too much acceleration is just dumb. Really, I'd never put on a different tire. Maybe down the road, I'll put on whatever is newest and best for latest gen GT3 if I have to.

Money isn't an issue. It shouldn't even be a part of the discussion for a car as expensive as ours. Last thing you want is to have a tire that doesn't perform as you'd expect and then you find yourself in trouble on the road at the worst possible moment. Don't cheap out with a lower performing street tire. Just stick with OEM.

Dan (thinks if you have to worry about cost of tires or insurance, you can't afford the car)
True, although I'm not sure OP's intention is to save money (maybe it is?) The Michelin 4S tires are better for more conditions than dry/warm and last longer; however, the 4S are only like $400 cheaper per set than the Cup2s on TireRack (although you get 2 year hazard on 4S).

OP, if you are daily driving the GT3 and want better traction in anything other than dry/warm than 4S might be an option. If properly stored, your Cup2 tires should be fine for ~5 years or you could just sell them or just launch the car 80 times after breaking it in.

Thought someone would know off top of their head and volunteer knowledge, but Tirerack is a better friend on this...about 350 and 450....each......not too bad at all....1650 a set........
