CUP car fun..
Slow but a fun experience.

The last 2-3 laps I kindof got a rhythm going :-)

Thanks Peter,

Been away from RL for a short while - tired of the "technical discussions" - now I have reason to be here again

Great trip, and thanks for inviting us onboard.

Hummm....so you got, like 3-4 days on them. Wow...these cup2's are going to be different for me. I got so use to NT01's lasting for 8 events or so.

I'll make it through the day but they are too slow to try and improve my times this first session or tomorrow's.

Overdrive the tires on lap 2-3 in full attack, backed it up a bit after that but no better then 2:25's. Got black flagged for passing between carousel and kink but it was the last lap anyway.

Got one more 2:24 in but now both tears are chunking like they do.
Front tires are fine, even though car under steers more and more, all 4 rotors are toast, pads are fine.

^ Sounds about right. Front of the field 991s we're doing 2:13-14. Good laps.

Thanks Peter...I've never had any of the Toyo's (RA1 R888) or Nitto NT01 chunk like what I see in your photos. I did have outer tread separation seem issues across the tire with R888's.

Looks like you might either be under inflated or not enough neg camber as the tire is wearing up into the sidewall. Thoughts?

I've been reading up on chunking and it seems to be a under inflated tire heat issue and over driving when the tire isn't up to temp. Seems like more tire brands/models have this chunking issue than I thought from looking around on the internet

2:17 would be with a VERY experienced driver and a NON-stock 997.
