Who's getting what seats?

Another consideration is that many track events, if you ever ride with an instructor or instruct in your own car, require equal equipment for driver and passenger. That may or may not be an issue for you but something to think about.

LWB in my .1 and ordered for . 2
For me, on the smaller side, they fit very well and are comfortable. Have fines several 1500 mile trips with no issues. I, also, do about 6-7 DEs a year and they are a must.

Thanks for all the responses! I remain on the fence and can't quite yet bring myself to pull the trigger changing my build from 18-ways to buckets. Mostly because the 18-ways are a known quantity as I have them in my GT4, and I've only once sat in the buckets, in the passenger seat of an RS, for about five minutes. Here's how it breaks down for me:
I like seat heaters. My wife LOVES seat heaters.
I like the wide range of adjustment. My wife likes to recline and sleep.
I like being able to fold the seat forward to access the rear cargo shelf.
I'm not a huge fan of the boy racer stripes on the buckets.
I imagine, but don't know, that I would prefer 18-ways for long drives.
All of which suggests 18-ways.
On the other hand, I LOVE the look of the LWBs.
I like the idea of having the lightest weight option in a GT car.
I like the most "sporting" and "connected" feeling with the car.
I imagine, but don't know, that I would prefer LWBs for both track and spirited weekend drives.
I'm afraid, but don't know, that the benefits of buckets for track and spirited driving aren't sufficient to offset the sacrifice of comfort for longer trips.
I imagine I would be indifferent between the two for most shorter, around town, commuter and/or daily-type use.
I probably track 3-4 times a year, and my closest tracks are 3-4 hours away.
I probably take 3-4 trips a year that are 2-3 hours each way.
I probably take 1-2 trips a year that are 6-8 hours each way.
The remainder of my usage would be mostly weekend drives with occasional daily-type usage.
To the extent these facts come into play, I'm 51 years old, 5' 9" and around 170 lbs. My sales advisor reminded me that if I keep this car for a long time my body might start protesting things later that it doesn't protest now, LOL.
Bottom line for me, I'm realizing, is that I will probably stick with 18-ways just because I know what I'm getting and I've been perfectly content with them. I might love and even prefer the buckets but I'm not sure I should take the risk of ordering them without getting to try them out first. Maybe, somehow, I'll get that chance in the next few days. Any of y'all with LWBs close to Jackson, MS??

I don't track mine and have the 18s now. Love them and for me in and out of the buckets is a no go. I do get good use out of the car though without tracking.

I've had 14s, 18s, and 4 way sports seats plus, and have LWBs coming on my Spyder, so no opinion on those yet. But of the three sofas, if I were ordering today, I'd be doing the 4 way SS+ all day. Even if they were the same price as the 18 ways, I'd take the 4 ways, just a bonus that they're much cheaper. They sit lower, slide quickly for ingress and egress, and just feel better than the 18ways I had.

Saw this thread, decided to comb through all 161 GT3 examples currently for sale on Autotrader (8/21). Took me a good 30-mins. Here are specs where seats were discernible from ad:
27 LWB (17%)
130 4 way/18 way (81%)
A good number of the LWB's spec'd cars were $142-150k, middle of pack.
If this sampling has any credence throughout entire population, suspect in the end, unless you have a special unique build, you'll get your $5k back for originally paid LWB, and maybe a few extra $k. Otherwise, I'm not really sure this "LWB really helps resale" holds much water on 991.1/2 front. I think it's squabbling over a few k and a faster sale, which most could care less about at this price point. If that much of the population ordered sofa, you're also in a way pigeonholing yourself with a LWB spec. A lot simply don't want it.
I'd personally only outfit a GT3RS with LWB, and I'm currently spec'd with LWB on 991.2 GT3. But have to admit, the 18 ways are not completely off my radar. Really wish LWB would come in a larger size (small-reg & large), as I feel they are a hair tight for larger frames (I'm 6'4/210/inshape).

Had 918 seats in my GT4 and loved them.
Had GT2 seats in my Boxster Spyder and loved them.
Went with 918 in my GT3, because I feel the GT2 are showing age and the 918 are prettier. GT2 seats are definitely not worse in any way. I believe 918 require more "getting used to".
