My car had a 4-month delay due to "PTS color preparation". This after a 5-month extension on the normal production time due to it being PTS. My GT3 was ordered 1 month before a voodoo blue GT3, which ended up arriving a good 3-4 months before mine, as it is, was a "more ordered PTS choice" (Porsche's reasoning for the delay).
My GT3 order which order locked (V215 and V250) in November-December 2017, had an expected Delivery date of May 2018. The car did not arrive until September 2018.
It wasn't fun, but it was sure as hell worth the wait.
Possible there is another out there. But, I wouldn't bet on it. Y97 isn't the most known or popular PTS choice. Safe to say its a 1 of a kind paint choice

FJGT: Love your Y97 Slate Grey Metallic. Beautiful. Never realized it had so much blue. Very rare indeed.
Here's a couple of mine with yours to get a good idea of the variation between Slate Grey and Slate Grey Metallic.
Love it! If only the metallic would show up more in pics, if uninformed I would assume its Slate Grey 615. Still though, very rare to see metallic slate grey. 615 is usually the preference in honor of Steve Mcqueen.
Christmas comes early! Wasn't supposed to be here for 6 weeks. At Oakville Porsche this morning picking up the Cayenne and this had just come off the truck!

Strange question, but by chance have you seen the PTS Absolute Red RS they have for sale? Can you describe the colour? In some photos, it looks like Rossa Corso, and in others it looks like Lava. Still can't wrap my head around the shade of red.

They've had that for a while. Seen in person a few times. It's more of a true red with little orange. Also more red than Guards Red. Personally like it.

Haven't posted in a while, partly by design as wait continues to be killing me. What was originally March production kept on getting pushed back - month after month after month. Finally produced in late Oct. On a vessel headed States-side. So may literally be a 'Christmas present' by the way things are going.
Both eager in anticipation, but has also been a tough process given the continual unknowns, delays, and no real ETA along the way. It's more than 18 months since my first GT3 in-the-flesh spotting during the Geneva Autoshow reveal in Mar 2017, and will be getting her after the new 992 has been revealed! Many folks here have bought, sold, and even forgotten by now they've owned a PTS 991.2 GT3!
Looking at Andre's XL sheet, none other in this shade so far, so hopefully will have some cool images to share in another month or so...
