anyone with an end of 2018 build (mine is september build) tried for PTS and if so what were the results. My SA is checking but thinks it might push it out past end of 2018 and who knows if they will still be building them. Not trying to start that debate again.
Thanks

Great news you finally got a build spot!
You really deserve one for all the bs you endured.
Let me know your spec.
Now the wait...

My PTS order
Color: grigio telesto
CXX options: none
Delivery location: Georgia, USA
Manual/PDK: PDK
Delivery date: May 2018
Current V code: Not sure what V-code
Satin black wheels, PCCB's, carbon fiber interior bits...
Would love tourist delivery. However, it is also highly allocated and no slots remain per my dealer. Would think the guys that pony up 190K for a custom Porsche would be able to get it. BUMMER

(STG saw I had posted these in the 991 forum and suggested they should be posted in this thread too).
While at the dealership this morning, I saw a PTS GT3 with a color that was unfamiliar to me. It is paint code 7A1, Gray Black, which has a different tone from Slate Gray. Apparently it was originally used on the 997 GT3-RS, the one with the red-checker striping. mirrors, and wheels. I always liked the look of that a lot but never realized what the base color was.
Anyway, here is a little eye candy showing off Gray Black. It is non-metallic and notably darker than Graphite Gray. Its hue is different from Slate Gray according to the side-by-side comparison I found posted by Z356 in another thread (shown at the end). The red wheel accents work nicely too.
Comparison: Gray Black on the GT3-RS at the left.
