I absolutely love my Civic Type R. It’s a blast to drive, gets over 30mpg on highway, plus has a big boot to throw in all the kids backpacks/sports stuff. At only $34k it’s just a riot of a car.
E63S wagon rocks. The only competition is the RS6, not available in the US. I might go for one as house car. Just curious, is there a big difference between the 2014, that I am familiar with, and the new 2018?
The interior has been completely updated with the double screens, updated seats (you can order AMG sport seats), power has gone up to 612hp , wider arches, etc. underrated 0-60mph at 3.5 sec. When I test drove a sedan version, it felt like a complete different car than my '14 wagon. The RS6 looks good but its not faster than the AMG beast
Not completely accurate as Tesla is behind schedule but at some point this year, a black Model 3 looking like the above pic will arrive to be my daily driver and only other car besides my GT3.
Tesla is a great polar opposite to GT3 for daily driver and ideal for commuting in California as an electric car provides access to carpool lanes and does automatic speed matching/lane keeping for stop n go traffic.
I’ll be in the same boat soon. Currently holding my reservation for the standard range. It’ll be replacing my Prius. Also have diesel X5 that is family car and soon the tow vehicle for the GT3.
landcruisers/4runners/tacos are among the best built vehicles sold. landcruisers are a slight cut above any other vehicle currently made in the world and are made to go 1 million miles or 25 years whichever comes first before you have to do anything more then routine maintenance.
most other new cars today are designed for 36 months and then you trade them in our pay up the *** to maintain them. long live the landcruiser and cars built to a standard not a cost
I don't believe that most other new cars today are designed for 36 months. I believe they can last longer.
For those waiting on the Model 3, I’m here to offer some words of encouragement: it’s about as good a daily driver as I could ask for. Comfy, awesome tech, good amount of torque available whenever, ample interior space, solid range (I’ve gotten 280 real-world miles on a charge twice) and spectators seem to love it.
For those who hate on EVs to hate on them, I’ll quote my mother’s dinner time mantra to her finicky kids: “Good. That leaves more for the rest of us.”
What happened to the S and X? Not used anymore? I love Tesla, the car, but can't stand Elon's antics.
