yes this is 100% true
landcruisers/4runners/tacos are among the best built vehicles sold. landcruisers are a slight cut above any other vehicle currently made in the world and are made to go 1 million miles or 25 years whichever comes first before you have to do anything more then routine maintenance.
most other new cars today are designed for 36 months and then you trade them in our pay up the *** to maintain them. long live the landcruiser and cars built to a standard not a cost
For those waiting on the Model 3, I’m here to offer some words of encouragement: it’s about as good a daily driver as I could ask for. Comfy, awesome tech, good amount of torque available whenever, ample interior space, solid range (I’ve gotten 280 real-world miles on a charge twice) and spectators seem to love it.
For those who hate on EVs to hate on them, I’ll quote my mother’s dinner time mantra to her finicky kids: “Good. That leaves more for the rest of us.”
Thanks. I will take delivery this weekend and will share my thoughts and comparison. I do have to go through a break in period though I am going from a 2014 E63 S wagon to a 2018 E63 S wagon.

E63S wagon rocks. The only competition is the RS6, not available in the US. I might go for one as house car. Just curious, is there a big difference between the 2014, that I am familiar with, and the new 2018?
