One of the dreamers.

Based on the information I am getting, US dealers will get their allocation in the next month or so for build dates in September PDK and MT one month later. It is possible that Porsche may move up a few US build dates to the latter part of July but I doubt it. They have capacity issues because they are building the GTS's and filling European GT3 orders.

Less likely yes...BUT : once " the dust " settles and lists get thinner because of dropouts, one will have a much better chance. And this is important for the people in the state of California. We all know how things go there...
I don't say New York is better...I wouldn't step foot in Manhattan, but we have 3 states around that will sell you cars at MSRP.

This car is going to be awesome and in high demand.

But,

Porsche knows it's a great car and market is super hot. They are building and selling cars for a living. Do people really think they have been sitting on their a** for the last 3 years.

This time they are ready. No shortage of LWB, hopefully no engine fires.

Get those order books out. We can not all be first. Some are first and know someone and gets msrp. Those that want to be first and don't know somebody have to bring a big wallet. Especially in Cali.

It's a $150k car and many are on many lists. When it's time to spec or pay a lot of buyers forgot to ask wife if $150k is to much. 😂Just chill and tell dealers that you're ready with cash in hand @ MSRP and you will get a car.

Dealers are obviously trying as hard as they can to keep the cool aid flowing.

Good reminder - ask wife first!

Yeah, I think things could settle down in a year. Btw, Bronson was asking for you. Something about an asian with no teeth. But you'll need to ask him about it. Just relaying the message.

I am going to send in the names and builds for a ton of customers all at once and let porsche sort them out. We have not been given a direct indication of where we are but I know they will make enough cars to get a few of them to every store. There is no way that people have anything other than the word of their SA or GM or GSM at a store to go on...which is fine. you will see what that relationship is really worth now!

All the dealers I've contact shut the door for leaving name/deposit, they all saying it's too late to play and even for those who put down deposits long time ago, if they are first time GT series buyer, they are still not guaranteed to get allocations. Priorities are reserved for previous GT buyers.

Unless you are a DR, patience is the real key.

This is what I'm counting on, and my SA says happens a lot. I know this happened with their GT4s and it's also how I got my Spyder from them - buyer bailed when it came time to actually write the check. I've noticed this on the used side as well, as a few GT3's and RS's I've been watching have been 'sold' only to then show up back on the market a few days later when the 'buyer' couldn't come up with the cash.

Worst case, I keep reminding myself that I also like $200k in cash, so if I don't get a car, it's not like I'm not getting a kidney.

I called my dealer I am first in line. He wants my 50th EARLY and is talking $50k over. He has no clue about it. But he prefaced by saying BASED on PREVIOUS ... yada yada. I told him MSRP and my car isnt in the deal. It will be interesting to see his response. If Porsche DOES build enough they will destroy Corvettes and all the other cars in this class that some have to buy instead because they cant afford the extortion. This will be great.
What affect on the 4 liter RS and the 911R will THIS have????

My dealer told me that they have no allocations yet either. I'm not in a hurry.
