There are some posts of people already putting in their orders/configuring their cars, but I have no idea if pricing was confirmed. If anyone is brave enough to share, it would be interesting to see where the real numbers come in at.

really excited about this car. bucket list car for me with the MT. as soon as i can order one the way i want it for msrp and MT i will get one. I'm not paying over msrp. but i don't have money to burn and there may be enough people that do so i may never get on at msrp. time will tell. going to be a sweet car.

Look at it from current owner perspective.
Which car are you going to buy?
- 911 R? Why pay that premium when the 991.2 GT3 is just as good, and many think better?
- 991.1 RS? The engine in the 991.2 GT3 is better, just as powerful, and has a manual.
- 991.1 GT3? Only if the 991.1 is a lot cheaper, which it will be.
- 997 GT3 RS? The new 991.2 GT3 flogs it in every way imaginable.
- 997 GT3 RS 4.0? Only collectors would choose the 4.0 over the 991.2 GT3.
Supply and demand.

No way would I give up my 991.1 RS for .2 GT3. Not even a close consideration. Would you give up a 997.1 RS for a 997.2 GT3? I wouldn't. I also think those that did back in the day regret doing it.
Kyrocks I guess has decided that a manual transmission is what he wants in a GT3 car. It's a free country. I believe he will be in the vast minority to give up an RS for a .2 GT3. However he should buy what makes him happy.

No way I am selling my 991 RS for the .2 GT3.
Rs will always be an RS.
I honestly wouldn't have sold my 997.2 RS for the 991.2 GT3.
Like many have said, Can't explain the RS nostalgia
But I am probably going to sell my GT4 for the .2 GT3

The 991.2gt3 will more likely effect the value of 991.1gt3/991R/997gt3/gt4 and to some extent 997rs.
I think Porsche priced the 991.2gt3 perfect.
$150-160k with some options.
991rs @ $200k
991.1gt3 with some miles will soon be $100-120k
Perfect spread.

indeed if you own an RS your judgement on future value is from a perfect source
guys if they built cars as investment assets they would
self destroy themselves in a couple of years (16th century tulp effect)
so expect to keep going on the wise AP words

I can't go backwards with my lap times and I'm just not a good/experienced enough driver to do what I do with an MT. Personally wouldn't feel 100% comfortable at high speeds and not where (and with what) I want to learn how to heal-toe!
Strictly a mountain/daily type of car for me with MT. More engaging off the track and less attention on the road.
Just guessing that a majority of flipped RS-for-991.2 didn't see a lot of track time and now is the best time to sell before "the bottom falls out". Would I prefer for it to stay a 240k+ car? Of course, but I love love love the RS and plan to pay for the experience. I drive my car.

I think the price for a 991.1 RS will hold the price down on the 991.2. GT3. Who trades an RS for one? Not many and an RS can be had for 225K or so.

Yes i did it ,said no thanks to an MSRP RS allocation in favour of a GT3 one
no side fenders are priceless in a 911 sexy body
and as said by smine here i find the 21" a little clownish too
but that s an opinion as anyoneelse one right?

I would take an RS at sticker over a .2GT3, but not at the current premiums. I think the spread on the two cars should be at least $40k.
