Do those, and I will seriously consider a McLaren. Otherwise, it's just a non-starter.
I am lucky enough to have McLaren Scottsdale 5 miles south of my house which is known for having a dope service department and one of the best parts guys.

If my Porsche dealer plays any more games and doesn't get me a GT3 allocation (991.2) I am ordering a 570. Very tired of the Porsche politics, especially here in Scottsdale and the west coast.

Oh, and those doors are awesome, you're just boring.

Simply put, I would love a PTS GT3 but my hair isn't grey and my money isn't old enough.

I get to preview the new P14 on Feb 23rd in LA and if it looks like this, I may be tempted to upgrade my 650S depending on the other features and performance of course (active aero, motor etc.) Make mine White..

1283kg will be dry weight, not din weight. I'd expect 1420-1430kg or so fully fuelled for customer cars with bucket seats from comparisons to the 675 or 650.

Let's hope. Nothing better sounding than a 12 cyl. NA.

Announced by McLaren today:

Quote:
Press Release:

McLAREN AUTOMOTIVE COLLABORATES ON FUTURE COMBUSTION TECHNOLOGY

31 Jan 2017

McLaren Automotive has announced a strategic project to design and develop technology for the next generation of powertrains. Working with a number of partners including BMW Group, the project will develop new combustion technology that will deliver a higher output per capacity than currently possible. It also aims to further facilitate CO2 reductions while simultaneously increasing engine output. The technology is destined for application in future McLaren engines.

The project, supported and part-funded by UK Government through the Advanced Propulsion Centre (APC), will also improve the UK's development and production capabilities of low-CO2 internal combustion engine technology. The project will be led by McLaren Automotive but involves a total of six partners. McLaren Automotive will work with its existing engine manufacturing partner, Ricardo, and BMW Group while Grainger and Worrall will deliver complex, lightweight casting technology. Lentus Composites will contribute knowledge in specialist composite structures. Completing the syndicate is the University of Bath who bring their advanced research and development capabilities in internal combustion engine systems efficiency.

Commenting on the collaboration, Chief Executive Officer of McLaren Automotive, Mike Flewitt, said: This is an exciting project that plays to the strengths of all partners. McLaren Automotive has an exceptional reputation for building the world's finest engines, as showcased by our M838T and its previous category wins in the International Engine of the Year awards. We will continue to independently design and build our own engines, and the benefits of this project will help us accelerate the development of our next generation of powertrain, as confirmed in our recently-announced Track22 business plan.

in the meantime since BMW and McL are separated - a M4 Austin Yellow P1:

chassis no. 301, is the only one in the world to wear BMW’s Austin Yellow exterior paint. The color is the successor to the Phoenix Yellow color and is prominently seen on the M4. McLaren Special Operations team carried out the modification on the P1.

from fchat member:
Just went to McLaren 720S launch at MTC. Was conducted in a mind blowing minimalist auditorium, the car is STUPENDOUS. Totally new carbon monocoque.

Design - totally new, eradicated side vents, glass roof with centre carbon support (visible). New interior also moves game on totally. Overall like a baby Pagani, all mauled look has gone. All plastic interior gone - aluminium. All LCD, screen folds away.

Performance - quicker than LT, 0/200 in less than 7.5 seconds. Fastest gear change of any production car.

Fraction above 488 money.

Ferrari will not know what to make of this car, its that big a step up.

I am a massive Ferrari fan. This car will be a wake up call.

Don't all start waffling on about depreciation etc, just celebrate innovation and guts to do this in 6 years !

Spy shots do not do this car justice.

Very cool, thanks for posting. Seems like the interior is going to be nuts, not sure how I feel about the Pagani reference...
