Don't know if many have seen this but I think Robert Mitchell did a nice job on this video. Pretty humble, down to earth explanation on his decision on the Senna and other driver type cars. (Would not necessarily be my decision but I thought it was very objective). Hopefully you guys will enjoy.

There have been multiple owners of 488's who have gotten better acceleration times than the car magazines did.

The 720 was just weird, if you look at it in real person and allow yourself to find it nice, with time, it will grow so well on you, you will be amazed. I found it dreadful, but with photos, videos and then seeing it in person, made it in my eyes, a quite beautiful car, probably one of my favorites regarding looks.

What I identified that made it bad looking for me was the absence of the side intakes, that was the thing that weirded me out the most. After I digested that part and saw the similarities with the Pagani Zonda lines, it clicked for me.

I think others already passed what I passed and the majority of people, fans, potential owners will grow to it too. Maybe the Senna will be the same, it definitely looks less bad as the time passes, but, it still looks ugly.

Ferraris are NA, the margins are tighter for adjustments. For example, it's not hard for Mclaren to 'unleash more power' when you are at sea level with quality petrol and good temperatures. Ferrari can do this, but margins are a lot tighter on NA and they follow a Porsche approach on their NA, if the car has 740hp, just make 740hp always at any condition.

But yes, Ferraris will 'always' be slower than Mclarens, mostly because of the real world weight of the cars, rather than power.

Lets see how fast a 250k€ MSRP (bonestock) 720s will be against an also (probably) 250k€ expansive (bonestock) 488GTO.
a 488GTB is 40k€ less expensive than a 720s.

and then we will mix again with the 760LT...

but none of those cars mentioned above will be that fast as a 911 with a wing. GT2RS.

I don´t know any ´facts´ about overrated 488?

"McLaren Senna in Victory Grey, 1200 kg, 800kg of downforce, 0-200km/h in 6.8s, 0-300km/h in 17.5s. Supposedly limits downforce at 155 mph because it creates more downforce than the suspension can deal with."

Or if you don't have lots of time to kill here's one with same amount of info in under half the length
.

Or this one that's a little shorter but does include a lot more info and an interview with one of the McLaren project leads.

I found out from my friend Mansour that Bruno Senna (same day same driver) performed some comparison laps at the F1 track in Bahrain between the Senna in stock trim and the P1GTR. The GTR was only 1 second faster.

i believe it.. with that much downforce and so little weight that thing must be ballistic. I've hustled a P1 around a track and the downforce is quite apparent even at lower speeds.. this thing must feel glued right out of the pits.
