Super excited about this since the dealer had, as he expressed it, extremly high demand and extremely low supply. Build will begin after release in Geneva with delivery estimated to oct-nov-dec 2017 - can´t wait to spec this thing!

Didn't we cover all this in an earlier thread which ran 823740817430 pages?

Great news.

Just for posterity, ask the guy how many allocations he is expecting. And ask him again in two years how many he ended up selling.

Just one question.
Was this the delivery for your allocation or is this at the earliest interval when they will deliver them?
Ps could this be proof there will be the rear diffuser of the R.
man, that space with the taillights really looked good with the grill on the .1.. don't understand why they took it away, was so distinctive!

totally agree, I loved that look on the .1 GT3.

The only reason I could see them taking it away was to simplify the process of making the wingless manual only option that we've been hearing about. They just have to change the one body panel, and then add the diffuser underneath.

I hope that's not the case, I really like the grill.
Actually, many of the changes we've seen so far on the mules, I dislike. If and when my time comes to make the big decision, it will be a tough one.

Yea and behind that rear grill is an excellent location for stealth location for
radar/laser receivers / deflectors for ci 9500 which is a must install for a GT car.

Thanks It´s been getting crazy here like everywhere else. Tried getting on the list for GT2 RS and 991.2 GT3 RS but that was impossible.

According to the dealer this is the earliest delivery for the few allocations they have, I guess if you go PTS and other CXX-options the delivery will be sometime during early 2018.

I will check with the dealer when its time to pay the deposit in a week or so, but my guess would be 3-4 cars...

Hi all,

Also from Sweden and new to the forum. Have been reading here on a daily basis before registering. Thanks for all the useful inputs.

Have also recently got a confirmed allocation for Nov next year, slots I was told are Oct, Nov, Dec. I too was told supply will be extremely low and demand super high. And this from a dealer who got around 5 997 RS 4.0 at the time (I would think it's quite a high no for one dealer here considering only 600 made). I was also told when I placed deposit, Sweden in general see high allocations due to a big interest in the GT-models and track use here, PAG is well aware of this. In the case of the 991.2 GT3 it now seem to be a different story from what we have been told.

In any case, here is what Porsche Australia have recently informed their dealers:

- 991.2 GT3 will be the 3.8 (not the 4.0)
- it will be available in both PDK and manual
- manufacture will start in March 2017 (much earlier than dealers were expecting)
- 991.2 GT3 RS will be PDK only but wont be manufactured until some time later

interesting indeed. If the .2 GT3 is going to be a 3.8, the wizards of weissach must really done something very special considering the .2 GTS will be a very fast car (as fast as a .1 GT3??)

Still crossing my fingers for a 4.0 in the GT3. But I'll take a manual thank you very much xoxo

@swede01 holy crap this is kind of late. However i paid my deposit last week.
Question is if the car arrives as late as say october, i kind of feel that i need to do some driving, not just drive ut to my garage for wintering. So perhaps i should go for germanydelivery, drive it to the ring take a few laps then back to Sweden? Kul att det är fler svenskar här även Kobolt!

Yeah it is not so fun to take delivery in the middle of winter. I think factory collection is a really fun option! I would not dare to drive the ring though since insurance is void if you do so! Bättre att vänta och köra med Porscheklubben
