garage car lifts

i am getting an Autostacker installed on monday in prep for my incoming GT3RS. it doesn't allow working under the car unfortunately, but as a storage solution, i think it will be great as it has a much smaller footprint than a traditional 4 post. i'll report back once its installed.

I currently have 2) HD9 four post units. Like this solution better as it does not look like a helper ramp is needed. Just drive on or off.
My 3 stalls are about 12 feet deeper than 2 cars end to end so one of these close to the garage door would allow 1 car up and a 2nd parked behind it farther in. Take either car for a drive without moving the other.
Edit. Just saw the connector channel at the pump end of the unit. Would need to deal with that to drive over it. I haz the skilz.

yes, i will report back. i talked to BendPak (who does the Autostacker) multiple times about the lift and am very excited about it. there are very few reviews about it on the internet which made it a bit tough to pull the initial trigger.

@NSD991 - check out Direct Lift. It's the residential version of rotary. They bought an offshore factory and build to their own spec. Quality is really nice. I had mine delivered and installed for about $4k including a rolling transmission jack. They have 110 and 220v options and include casters and ramps, but with a really low car you'll probably need Race Ramps. The lift is certified and they don't nickle and dime you for a bunch of accessories. Steel jacking tray and plastic oil catch trays are included. The model i purchased was a pro park 9 - http://www.directlift.com/Four-Post-...LUS-P55C9.aspx because I had space for a wider lift and the actual ramps are wider. Very happy with the result.

Thanks so much
Mylift works well, just wish it was a bit wider.
Will see how it goes when my RS arrives.
Would be a big deal to swap out.

Hi all,
I'm interested In getting a 4 post lift, for storage purpases.
Celiling is 13.5 feet and the distance to the horizontal supporting beam Is about 11 feet.
I want to start thinking about the project. I'll have to have someone move the garage door motor. I assume I should have this done first before I start shopping for lifts? Also how is atlas compared to bendpak? The motor and opened door height is to be moved by the garage door company and the lift installed by someone the company recommends?
I supposeI should read this thread because I am glancing and seeing suggestionga of Challenger, rotarg., Etc.

I don't have any comments on Atlas vs Bendpak but I really like that new scissor lift posted previously. Id buy that today if I had to make a purchase.

you need a garage company to come in and put taller tracks so that the garage door opens closer to the ceiling. I had to do the same thing. Cost me like $500. Once that is done,I had my bendpak installed.

I just installed a Challenger 4 post lift about 3 weeks ago. Called the local lift company and they talked me into the Challenger (I was asking for Bendpak). Works great and doesn't need an air compressor like the Bendpak. Like discussed earlier, you will need a garage door company to come and raise the tracks and put in a new wall mount opener (https://www.liftmaster.com/liftmaste...opener/p/8500W) Garage door guy charged me around $1200 for everything. Lift cost me $4700 including installation. Don't try to install yourself. I watched 3 guys who do it every day take 6 hours to get it complete it. Would have taken me a week or more I'm betting! I have 10' ceilings and 2 Pcars fit easily. Could probably make 9'6" work if you needed to. Here is a pic.

I did not bolt mine to the floor. Installer recommended against it and said he rarely bolts them down.
