Here is a stock GT2-RS actually hitting 356kph/221mph on the autobahn. As typically is the case, the performance figures quoted by Porsche are lower than the actual figures.

That is insanely fast, I can't image what the car would do with a flash and straight pipes.

I believe we have a few of the 24Ah option available still and the other options are available on back order and can be ordered and should be in stock within the next week or so. Please feel free to reach out to chad@antigravitybatteries.com with any questions.

Isn't it more a case the speedo tends to read high? true gps speed tends to be a fair amount lower on any road car I tend to find at very high speeds.

This is a GT2RS thread. No surprise. Love the 2RS. Epic. But...charactering the 3RS as slow is over the top hyperbole. Many who have tested and compared both have picked the 3RS.

They are are two different cars that would compete in two different classes.

One of many examples: Evo Three Kings.

Lets not sell the 3RS short.

I think you misunderstood, that is, the statement that the “comments were heavily weighted in favor of the 2RS"................... refers to the comments posted on the video above, see video in post #7686.

All the Porsche GT cars are indeed impressive cars, though, I personally prefer the 2RS.

Agree but I wonder if the tires they now have fitted on the 2RS whether the CUP2s or as in my case the Dunlop Maxx Race 2s can handle those increased top end speeds.

In fairness, those who said they prefer the 3RS explained it was because of the combination of 9000 RPM and the exhaust note. It certainly wasn't because of the 3RS's speed and power compared to the 2RS.

According to Chris Harris, they can't.

Well that is self evident. However, any performance car cutting the times a 3RS can is far from slow. Bottom line, regardless of reason many who tested and compared picked the 3RS. Being 180hp and 160 lbs tq down makes the choice even more impressive. At least in my mind.

No doubt 2RS is epic but 3RS is a ripper and NA and still makes Catchpole have to ponder the choice.

He seems to be in the minority though.
