Default Lava Orange GT3RS Xpel Full Body Wrap and Nano Coating

One of the most sought after 911's recently has been the 991 GT3RS. The performance and hype around this car are larger than life. We at Adonis Detail had the privilege of working on a gorgeous Lava Orange GT3RS recently.

The owner trailored the car to us to work its magic. Many of our clients go this route, even before they get the opportunity to drive the vehicle! This reduces the risk of any potential damage occurring prior to the clear bra and nano coating applications.

Services Performed:
-Level 1 polish to brighten paintwork and prep for clear bra application
-Moderate full body wrap in Xpel Ultimate protection film
-Nano coating application to full body, wheels and interior surfaces
-ClearPlex windshield protection

GT3RS prepped for wash/decon process

Xpel software template design process

Factory DA sanding scratches

Level 1 correction to brighten paintwork

Level 1 correction to brighten paintwork

Paint finish after polishing processes

Paint finish after polishing processes

Wash/Decon process to prep for clear bra application throughout. This step is crucial in order to ensure a clean and consistent installation.

Clear bra installation begins working from the top down, first order was protecting the rear wing.

Mirrors are done in one piece custom, this ensure the maximum coverage possible without a visible seam.

Hood is done custom as well, this way we are able to further extend coverage to wrap edges and corners how we see best fit.

Edge wrapped and trimmed precisely.

Although the Xpel software does a great job with its template designs. We decided the best fit for the RS fenders would be a custom installation. This will allow us to fully wrap inside the fender vents and gas cap are for a seamless appearance and maximum coverage.

Film installed and precisely trimmed and wrapped for maximum coverage and no exposed edges.

Headlight surround edge wrapped and trimmed uniformly throughout. A proper film installation should look good even where you'll never look!

Bumper coverage we opted to utilize the Xpel designs with numerous design changes we made. This allows us to extend edges and coverage areas.

One of our signatures is the tow hook, we take this opportunity to custom trim and wrap the film into the tow hook opening and around the tow hook itself. This gives maximum coverage and no visible edges.

Rear bumper installation, we opted to install the film over the OEM decals thus ensuring 100% OEM appearance.

Filmed installed and edges all heat sealed.

The largest and most complex piece to install are the rear quarters. We cover all the way from the bottom of the rocker panels behind the front wheel, up around the door and air vent, up to the C-pillar all the way to the front A-Pillar in one seamless piece. Getting this installed properly is no easy feat!

Film laid and edges trimmed and tucked.

A nice addition to this wrap is the OEM design for the rear fender rock guard. This added to the overall "OEM" look and added another layer of protection.

The rear fender vent moulding is removed to allow us access to further wrap and tuck the film underneath thus hiding another visible edge.

A very common concern for 991 owners is the De-Lamination issue potential for OEM headlight housings. We always err on the side of caution and leave the final decision up to our clients whether the risk is worth wrapping. We have had great success with wrapping these without incident.

Now for the fun part! With all the film installed, all edges wrapped and heat sealed. Its time to begin our nano application. On this vehicle we opted for our Nano Black package, which is our highest level in terms of gloss, protection and longevity. This package comes with a 7 year performance guarantee.

Part one of application involves a thick two layer coating. As you can see during the application process the coating begins to cure and separate forming a very durable, thick protective coating on top of the clear bra.

The next step involves applying two (thinner) but extremely glossy and hydrophobic top coats. These two top coats really give the car a nice pop and provide phenomenal water beading, dirty repellency and slickness.

With the Nano Black package applied the final appearance really shines through.

I'd have to agree! I think the silver wheels and clear lenses are a perfect fit for this color.

Excellent write up Tim.

I can vouch for every step of Tim's process with what he outlined above. Tim is not only meticulous with covering 100% of edges, but also proactive in his approach to ensuring protection for the foreseeable future. I have seen his work in person many a times, don't hesitate guys.

You will re-fall in love with your car. Is that a thing? If not it could be now..

VERY impressive work! Well done. It's these kinds of professionals that are the stars of the industry....and should take all the business away from the **** installers.

I agree completely and in certain lights its very pastel like. I believe the nano did add a nice pop to the finish.

Thanks! I completely agree, and unfortunately we fix/redo alot of work from other shops in the area. Not that its bad, but we just do things a bit differently.
