Just touched down FRA, 4 hour delay, so I will miss TF 10:00-14:00 today, ugh..
Commercial air travel sucks.

Mr Purple still looks good. And I still think it’s the best ride on the road of any 991 gt, 2nd best on the track and only one to come in UV.......so not a bad combo as a keeper.

edit: ok, ok, before i get flogged; I haven’t been in a 2rs yet (setting King Kong aside).......2nd best of the 991 NA crowd on track.

Purple is the kinder, gentler RS, ideal for street driving and can still kill at the track.
Lizard doesn’t look as good to my eye and is much less of a compromise.

Weather sucks and the train is delayed due to technical difficulty.

totally agree. I think the 991.1rs is the best touring car out of the 991 GT's and one of best track cars (touring zealots, please don't add 25 pages of OT touring-is-the-greatest-car-of-all-time to Trakcar's thread ). 991.1rs might be my pick for best all-around 991 GT. But I do like how Porsche made the 991.2-3rs a somewhat "no-compromise" car. Good luck in Europe. Too bad I'm in mainland Europe while you come to UK.

25 sections are scored on accuracy, I started of trying to go slower at the GP track (knowing slower cars are in front of me with 40 second gaps) but my rhythm fell apart, my tire pressures too low, so I went FLATOUT ;-)

I just tried to not overdrive and keep it clean, and thinking too much about the instructors input to score points, I just wanted to drive "my way" but with why I learned and so the score would be as if I was just having fun at the track trying to go faster, leaving my typical safety margin for error. This way my score reflects how I can drive the Ring at full speed, making the score and feedback more honest.

I think this wasn't my fastest lap, but no big mistakes even though I scored a few 6 point sections and only two 10 pointers. See below.

Section numbers and judges, you may recognize some pro drivers there. Their input was invaluable and if you're ever going to the Ring, Scuderia Hanseat is the event you should plan around. I had an awesome time.

So, I timed my lap at 6:49 from Hatzenbach - Bogen and 41 seconds from Bridge to Hatzenbach - Bogen from one of my previous BTG lap times, so my lap time should be right around 7:30.
Photo of where the video takes off.

Looks like I'm pretty much stuck at solid 7:30's and maybe high 7:20's if I push a bit and drive it a bit rougher.

We'll work again together to bring you in the 7.0x !

I’d say send me the invoice, but I only have TF left on June 24.
Maybe I ship my car back to Germany until 7:0x :-)
