Thanks CAlexio. Cool to see them all! Want to make one for the greens, yellows, grays, etc?! I wish there was an official document from Porsche with a direct comparison under similar lighting etc. Basically a paper/digital poor man's version of the samples on the wailing wall--but of course that'll never happen.

A few edits. Aqua blue met is M5R (listed twice in your compilation, once incorrectly as W33). Aquamarine Z62 not available (only for panny); I'm not sure if you care only about 911. Cobalt blue met is 3C8. I assume dark sapphire met Y96 is a blue not on your list. Golf blue W91 is uni not met. I assume Peugeot bleu trivoli KNY should be on your list. Club blue (code not publicly known yet???) was never available as pts but was painted on 991 so not sure if it qualifies for your list.

Thanks for the great work. All the way from Aus .

Im keen on Irish green and see earlier there is a different code to british racing green. But then some commentators on here say they are the same colour ? Are they ? Can anyone assist with some examples to compare ?

An older post of mine from a diiferent thread but perhaps
relevant to this conversation:

'British Racing Green', as most of you know, is the official racing color
of Britain. It dates back to the early days of the 20th Century, the
Gordon Bennet Cup, Count Eliot Zborowski, etc. Because the red, white
& blue of the Union Jack were already taken (by the US, Germany &
France), Britain chose 'Green' because Ireland (fully part of the United
Kingdom then) was host to the 1903 Bennet Cup race! It started out
as a Shamrock green hue...but has since evolved into the darker green
identified today as 'British Racing Green'.

A version of 'BRG' (color code 21D) has been approved for PTS at PAG.
Personally, I see no reason for a Porsche to be painted 'BRG', but that
is just my very biased view! But I do happen to love it on Bentleys,
Astons & other English cars!

****

'Brewster Green' was a newly formulated color for the 991 Club Coupe Limited Edition of 2012:

It was supposed to be similar to a PTS color chosen by Wolfgang Porsche
for his 993 911 Turbo S....

http://www.9magazine.com/why-was-bre...ed-club-coupe/

But I have seen that 993 & I don't believe it's the same color!

Nevertheless, 'Brewster Green' has been available for a number of
years now as PTS (color code 22B) & it's a very elegant & beautiful
color!

***

'Irish Green' was first used by Porsche in the C model 356s in
MY1964 & MY1965. It was a very popular color in those years.

It was a color carried over into the early 911's when these started
production. And it was continued for many years in that vintage
period!

'Irish Green' is currently available as PTS (color code Y79) at PAG.

It may look like this (not confirmed) on a 991:

All of these colors are solid/uni (non-metallic).

Hi Eduardo. Thank you very much. Apologies I had not seen your post earlier but its expertly explained. It confirms my choice if lucky enough for PTS then hopefully its Irish green. The lighter colour (seems to be) is what I am looking for.

I was not going to mention it. But
since you asked, 'Yes, it is just you
...& a few other 'silverrules' types
that feel that way!' But everyone
is entitled to their opinion!

I may have something in a classic green coming shortly, so although I would have previously opted for Viper or Gelbgrun for my next car, it's now out.

Is Crystal Blue currently on the approved list? Does anyone have any pics of a modern Porsche in that color?

Master Eduardo, Going nuts over color for the next car. My GM is pretty certain he will get me the PTS and I am seriously considering one of the green's or blues. The Brewster seems like a safe bet but the Gelbgrun also seems nice. Mexico and Riviera also looks pretty darn good. What PTS color do you recommend for the .2 GT3?

I do not recommend anything since colors are such
a personal choice & taste matter. I personally love
the brighter/solid (uni) greens on the body of a 991
or 718...but that is just me.

Let me paraphrase from an old post of mine here on
Rennlist:

In the 1980's the first owner of my 'Crystal Blue' 1970
911E Targa (Doug Troyer is his name) worked for Mick
Williams as Sales Manager at the Stoddard Porsche
dealership in Willoughby, Ohio. Chuck Stoddard had
then recently sold it to it the Porsche/Piëch family -
not PAG the business company based in Germany- and
it was held in a trust called 'Porsche Holding Salzburg'.
Doug Troyer, in his capacity as sales manager, custom
ordered a PTS 'Crystal Blue' 911 Targa from the factory
for spec inventory in remembrance of his old 1970
'Crystal Blue' car (which I currently own).

That 1987 911 SC might have been this one posted
a while back in an old post at Pelican forum I found:

But I have not seen, or read, anything about this 1987
in recent years. Hopefully, it is still on the road. I don't
believe there is a more 'modern' Porsche than that SC
painted in the beautiful 'Crystal Blue' from factory. But
I don't know that for a fact!

I would love to see this lovely blue hue requested for
PTS at Porsche today. It would first have to be tested
via a feasibility study for the 991/718 materials. It might
take a few years...but it is certainly doable!

Eduardo

*As a side note, the Stoddard/Willoughby dealership was
sold to Roger Penske. The latter who moved the dealership
to Beachwood, Ohio! That is the dealership coincidentally
where I bought my current 'Signal Green' gt3 two years ago .
'Porsche Holding Salzburg' itself was 'sold/transferred' (approx.
2011) to VW as part of the restructure of the Porsche/Piëch
family 'wealth' into majority shares of the VW Group.
