agree that this is all about function, and I commend the original poster for what is a track modification... if someone was doing this for the street, a big "no"

Oooh it's sooo uuugleee! Ooooh it sticks up sooo hiiiigh!
Ooooh what, that ugly thing just passed me on the track!
C'mon, it's a functional wing that will shave seconds off a lap time for (hopefully) less than a cup wing.
Price out a real cup wing air box and deck lid- over 10K for real deal.
Might look more aesthetically pleasing, but functions the same and who puts a cup wing on a street car for cars and coffee? Not for looks- for lap times with big bang for the buck and you can slip on your stock wing back on easily.

I must admit that I place "LOOKS" very low down on my order of priorities.
If it works better, I just accept what it "looks" like.
Whether anyone uses the info provided, I couldn't care less.
To them I say, "Better Wing or no, You've got a great performing car that ticks
al the boxes. They don't come around often. Use and enjoy it it in Good Health"
See you at the track."

If it is actually functional and easy to swap then for the track I would say fine....my guess is you will need a pretty long straight to realize a potential gain though.....for the street.....I'll just keep my opinion to myself....

LOLOLOLOLOLOLOL!!!! That is funny stuff right there. I applaud the OP for trial/errors of this track mod. I personally don't like the style for the street, but, if it was relatively inexpensive, and easy to change out, I could see myself adding one if there was a substantial benefit for track days.

Isn't that sort of what the GT3 RS rear wing looks like?
At least in those spy shots ...

Lane thanks for the data points. It doesnt look as bad as I thought on the car. The benefits you talk about are what we are likely to see as a result of the 991 GT3Rs aero package and I can see modifications like this pick up pace as the RS is released and GT3 owners need to find some more seconds on the track. My thoughts are that you should experiement with some additional small cannards up front and get some more negative camber into the set up to really start to benefit from your new aero. My guess there is another 1-2s on the table refining settings. Keep up the great work. Good to see someone made some non poseur improvements to the cars basic config. Hats off to you sir...
