"My current best lap on the Nurburgring Nordschleife, that I was not really targeting (starting in second gear, full fuel tank.. no setup!).
Still I'm quite happy with it since I didn't train a lot on the track this year (20laps!). Looks good for the future!"

So I was at the Nordschleife TF yesterday and it was pretty fun!
Not much traffic and some fast cars to play with! On almost all laps I had someone following me or someone to chase! That is quite motivating, haha!
So here is my warmup lap where I "chase" a very fast 997GT3RS !
I will publish some other footages later about that good day!

Thanks Nodrip for making those available to us. Always fun to watch some very nice driving!!!
I notice you are manually paddle shifting. Have you found that noticeably better or faster than Auto Mode?
Are you operating with ESC or ESC/TC Off? In Sport Mode or Normal? Shocks "Stiff" or Normal?
Any set-up numbers you can pass along? BTW, a higher Crawford Wing would give you a clear Rear View for your rear camera and, IMO, the additional downforce would help on the Nurburgring High Speed sweeping corners. Thanks again for posting.

Glad you enjoy!
I never used auto-mode on track, so I can't tell!
You would be probably faster in manual, but it depends about your driving "skill" I guess.
I let everything ON!
Assistance are not obstructive so you don't need to turn them off. But I would be really tempted to do so at the GP track, especially in the rain!
For now my setup is.. stock! Only -2.0 camber at the rear, for durability purpose!
I'm not gonna modify the car :
- I don't want warranty issues
- I still don't use 100% of the car so I'm not looking for "artificial" speed.
- If I met another 991GT3 on track, with would have the "same" vehicle.

Nice driving! The car is running sweet. I'm set up 100% stock other than a little camber like you (-2.0). I don't think there are huge advantages to massive negative camber other than tyre wear, and right now this is not an issue with the MPSC2 as they cycle out long before they wear out. In one or two places I pick up some corner entry and mid corner understeer. It's exactly how I have. Feels like you are turning the wheel but takes a moment for the front wheels to catch up and turn you in. Not sure if that makes sense. I just saw in your footage something that reminded me. I think wider front tyres (265) would help this or an adjustment if roll bar.

What I really need is simply more confidence!
On the GP track, I can push harder because the track is quite "secure". On the NS, that something else (and you can add the TF variable!).
With the GT3, the result of "pushing" is like "exponential". If you brake harder you will also get more weight transfer and better turn-in. It could explain what you observed!

Playing with a good friend in his 997.1 RS with Dundon Race Headers at 380whp, and my 991 GT3 with Dundon Race Headers and our new Megaphone exhaust tips, set a new personal best at the Ridge of 1:50.4, a bit more time and I think I can get down to 1:48.xx
