Totally agree. At first I thought it was just me not seeing it properly or bad camera angle. Doesn't look right, at least from the pics, maybe in real life it looks better.

... never out of favor. Great color, of many. Do you wish to go understated with this GT Metallic Silver (and over deliver) or go for a more aggressive color? It is a very owner-specific and preference issue ... IMO, a bit much emphasis placed on color here but perhaps appropriate diversion during our wait.
GT Silver will stand test of time.

I wouldn't buy a GT# in GT Silver - especially an RS. It's a non-traditional RS color and like most metallics belongs on Grand Tourers cars. Yes, it's has german racing history but that is more maintained by the Silver Arrows of Mercedes even to this day.
White is an OK choice as it's been Porsche's adopted RS color since the original one in 73, but I will leave the silver for an AMG.

I choose the color of my car based on what I like not the history of the color!
It looks awesome in GT silver. Love Lava but as a dd i feel i will get bored with it.
Looking forward to seeing the GT silver with black rims and LED and irons instead of carbon brakes
