I know I've read somewhere, either from journos or the early adopters, that PDK-S in Auto and Sport Mode will shift so accurately driven on the track, that one will be hard pressed to use the paddles. So I don't think there's a concern it will shift during a corner.
I just don't like it wants to be in the highest gear ASAP when driven in Auto on the street... That to me is a turnoff.

Nick, I don't like that either. Fortunately that only happens in regular Auto Mode under light throttle; PDK Sport holds gears and is quite aggressive even at light throttle, but not unreasonably so in normal driving. It's entertaining and useful even on the street, though I still prefer Manual.

Mike, let's say you're in Auto on the street in 5th gear and you would want it to downshift a gear real quick, will it do so by flipping the downshift paddle or you need to move the PDK-S lever in Manual?

In that Auto mode situation you could simply flip the downshift paddle quickly as many times as the number of gears you wanted to downshift. You wouldn't need to move the PDK-S lever sideways into manual mode. Flipping the paddles overrides the Auto function at any time.

Again, assuming you started in Auto mode, and assuming the car isn't cornering or decelerating under compression, after 6 seconds of not using the paddles, PDK will revert to Auto mode.

Thanks Mike. That's what I thought since the regular PDK does this...
