How come McL and Ferrari have turbo V8s and weigh the same or less than a P GT car?

I don't know why I have always had such a want for Ferrari, ever since I was a kid. They rarely seem to be the best when tested objectively against other cars. I think I need to just get one to get it out of my system. After I have 'experienced' ownership I will probably move back to Porsche for the duration.

Never owned one. That’s light, but what’s the weight with fluids? My 997.2 GT3 weighed 2950 lbs (akrapovic race exhaust, PCCB, lwbs) with fluids and 1/3 gas. Could’ve reached low 2900’s with lithium battery. I’m thinking of adding one again or RS version.

I don't know if Catorce is being serious as I think Mclaren's claimed dry weight for the 12c was 1330kg... but your 7.2 gt3 was extraordinary light at 1340kg tbh although I guess the akrapovovic side delete and no roll cage makes it doable. My old 12c (full leather interior, iron rotors, upgraded speakers, cf bucket seats) was 1450kg with a full tank of fuel (~70 litres) and some crap in the boot.

Been there, done that...with a few brands. Always came back to Porsche. Expensive lesson.

My 488 feels like it has a 7 liter big block. Scratch the itch.

Porsche makes a great car as does mclaren and Ferrari and Lambo. Lots of great choices at lots of price points for everyone.

BUT…….. That itch is soooo ITCHY. Lately - I have been drooling a F458 Speciale's. Hopefully it won't be a painful lesson this time.
