So much awesome it just makes me hurt - love the bit on the long straight where he is clearly calm and collected and scratches his face one hand on the wheel vs me at 195 mph soiling myself - poser vs. pro - rofl!

So what do you do if you get a flat in a new .2 GT3?

What a lap! It's amazing how the progression on these cars is awesome. Equally impressive is the tire tech that lets this happen on a road legal tire.

I had them put on my car recently - end of March. Ordered from Tirerack.

Absolutely incredible. Can't wait for this car. And for those that like to debate which is faster, he's manually shifting the car the entire time

Did you specify 2018 GT3 on the search in TR?

Yup. Now just imagine what he could do with a mechanical-sequential transmission. Straight cut gears would free up 5% parasitic loss, and the elimination of axial loading would allow for a lighter case. I'd guess, all in all, 50-60lbs lighter than PDK.

The mix of 9k flat six and straight cut gears would be an eargasm.

Something like this car's gearbox.

I doubt it to be honest. These ring specialists have driven literally thousands of laps there and know every single inch of the thing. That's why the manufacturers go to them over the leading series drivers for these runs..

Tandy was roughly a second off Kern in the 2 RS; Kern has much more experience on the Nordschleife and took a few more risks that Nick wasn’t willing to. I talked to Nick and FSW about it last weekend in Long Beach.

Estre is obviously fast but prone to mistakes - hitting teammates, jumping curbs, hitting LMP1 Porsches, etc

Congrats to the entire team. Great accomplishment.

To the detractors -- why? Who cares about excuses a), b) or c) as to why other cars aren't as quick; or reason d), e), f) as to why this car is helped by tires, drivers, "home" advantage or whatever.

Progress is blistering at the moment on many fronts. Looking forward to the next leap. For now, tip of the hat!

(Let's see what the 919 Evo can do...)

So does the .2 GT3RS have "N3" spec tires? Or does it use the "N2" from the GT2RS?
