Default Cold tire pressures for 2018 991.2 GT3 4.0?

Anyone have tried and tested recommendations for these, front and rear? Car is running Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2s.

No, not the Porsche recommended pressures, but *everyday* (not track) tire pressures that folks who also own the new GT3 recommend.

Those are the best pressures for the street. More air then the recommended will make the ride rougher. Less air then stock you run the risk of loosing a rim or tire on the street (at least around where I'm at)

On track I tend to go out with 26psi cold and warm them up gradually (first through braking then by zigzagging). After a couple of laps at 90% I then drop them such that I can drive them hot at 29 to 30 psi.

Have you guys heard of increasing tire pressure of a stored (winter) car to 50 lbs to avoid flat spots. Normalize pressure prior to driving.

Yes. I do about 58 psi for winter storage in heated garage. Been doing so for many years.

I do this even if it just for some weeks.

Unnecessary. But certainly can't hurt. You are very diligent.

On modern street tires, flatspotting from extended storage is way over-blown, easily avoided, and reversible upon a good heat cycle.

True, Sometimes when I leave my daily driver at the airport (outdoors) for a week or so I can feel how the tires are not round anymore when I start to drive home, when I'm home the tires are OK (20 minutes drive).

To 50 lbs??? That is unnecessary. I usually just add an additional 5 to 8 lbs. and I lose very little in the Chicago cold for 10 weeks. After 6 weeks try to catch one decent day to take around block to rotate the tires but I bet if I left it there for 3 months would have no dead spots.

Thanks. And yes, certainly here in the mega-potholed unrepaired streets of Maryland (where your taxes go to corruption and fraud, and zero infrastructure), I often think I'll lose half an axle...

You bet. You just have to swerve a lot and use what used to be called (probably politically incorrectly) the Egyptian brake pedal (AKA horn) a lot and you're good. The swerving certainly keeps the tires nice and cozy...
