i understand the Need for dyno figures,db etc

My purchase was based on sound, weight, and build quality

but will go ahead and put in a formal request with akra and see what they respond with and let everyone know.
It s so clear that the price for anything fitting for 600 997 RS 4.0 is a different story when compared to 20,000 997/991 regular GT3,
market have increased dramatically but price remained the same.
What then an aftermarket suspension should cost for a 991 GT3 ??
$100k?
Shocks coils etc are way much more complex in engineering and materials and construction.
Anyhow i was refferring to the whole exhsust market but because mentioned
can you justify with solid arguments this ?

Value and added quality over the median price point for similar goods is what the individual customer perceives and is willing to pay a premium for. Business success ultimately depends upon how many will pony up.

I’ve never had someone crawl under my car to marvel at an exhaust system. There are obviously some who want it and like knowing it’s there.

I have found that dealers don’t want these systems on trade in and afterward they are hard to sell and you might get back 50% of what you paid.

CMS has a new bypass they are sending me with traditional dual tips but Still a scavenge design. Sounds like the GMG but also improves hp by about 12hp and torque about 14 lbs per dyno.

The quality of sound is subjective. Some like deeper sound some high and raspy. Buy what you like.

I dont want want to make people’s ears bleed with a loud exhaust. It’s a street car for Christ sake. Why? So I can impress some moron youtuber at C&C?

A nice bypass system is fine for me. Actually the stock Ti center is not bad either.

yes. Look at the cost of a house compared to say 5-7 years ago. Its ridiculous. The additional cars produced this generation has fought off the inflation some is my guess. If compared to real estate and or cars themselves this hasnt moved much. Akrapovic has a proven pedigree. You need to pony up if you want one. I did. Im not saying you have to. To each his own and hope you enjoy the exhaust your purchased whichever that is.

for comparison

20k gt3/rs vs 1,500,000 mustangs over the same time frame approximately

2010 mustang gt base price $28,395
2019 mustang gt base price $36,350

997 gt3 $115,700
991 gt3 $143,600

For the sake of easy numbers approx 25% increase on both

I agree completely, point I want to make is that there is no “best” or “not worth it” or “too loud” etc. We choose and pay for what suits and pleases us the most. We can learn from what others have done as it may apply to our needs, but that’s as far as it goes.

A center bypass that yields +12hp and +14lbs??? That seems like a lofty claim.
