I'll bet many disagree with you on the bolded section.

Yes, this ^^^, among other 992 features. Not to mention the price increase on base model and cost options. The 992 is the first disappointment since the 996 followed the 993. I will follow it as a Porschefile but won't be a buyer. Actually, I should thank PAG. I really need to stop buying cars.

I disagree. Don't care how ugly it is, all these 992 haters will be right there clamoring to get the new shiny toy so they can be first at C&C. If you really think this will happen, and if it does, then please call when you have a GT allocation at MSRP, You have my number.

I'll be the sucker in line for whatever 992 GT comes next. I'll admit I have no will power against Porsche GT marketing machine.

After driving my 997 RS for a couple days. I think I'm done with new cars. Feels slower but better than my 991 GT3.

Newer not always better.

Interesting point by C.J. on the 992 interior especially how it will translate over to the GT cars. My new Touring will be a keeper at least for now.
really worried how the 992 interior will translate to the GT cars. I dislike the 992 interior, but one could argue it fits the luxury tourer/2 door panamera that the carrera is becoming.

However, I have no idea how they can make the 992 interior look sporty and race car like for the 992 GT cars. Just adding more alcantara will not cut it.

Those cars had all the boxes checked and the benefit of 991's being such a different platform (awesome but different).
I do the same. I buy each generation even if I don't like them. I want to try it.
but very very few cars I keep. from 2002 to 2017 I only found one car I owned worth keeping and it's still here (RS4.0) and in 2018 I added CGT to keep. others come and go.

Unfortunately, when it is produced in 2026, Porsche will be owned jointly by Apple and Musk. All cars designed in California and produced in China. The 2RS becomes a level 5 automated sports car so completely driverless. Doesn’t even have a steering wheel.

I will bet if these cars were not made in relatively limited numbers, or the second hand prices are tanking, all those talks about specialness in handling or engine sound would quiet down quite a bit.

^^^Curious if u have owned or even driven either?

CGT has had and up/down price history and i wouldn't exactly call it limited numbers at a 1200 unit super car. And, its maintenance costs will eat up most of any appreciation

I think the 991 is the most beautiful of recent 911 designs, jury is out on the 992 till seen in the flesh, worrying about "value" real or collectibility is like having sex with someone in hopes of making others happy, do it for yourself! be happy you arent doing by yourself
