Hi all fellow UK 991 GT3 owners.

Just wondering if any UK owners have received an official confirmation about the 10 year warranty? This is now 3 months after North America received theirs...

Cheers,

Andy

We haven't "received" anything. I have not gotten any correspondence other that what has been talked about here on the forum, from Porsche.

Just curious why do we need a letter? The dealer knows it’s covered. Just wondering.

What if you sell the car? The new owner needs to know this!

In UAE a friend bought a used 2016 GT3 and checked first at the dealership before purchase, the dealer logged into the system and confirmed what COG reported after their meeting regarding the 10 years warranty for the FF issue

If this is true in the middle east i don’t see how it is not true in Europe, US or ROW

Guys
We are just days away from receiving our letters from Porsche. All parties have now signed off on this new warranty, government as well as Porsche and now the letters need to be printed and mailed. As you may know the extended warranty has been in the dealer system for a while and in fact I know of two owners who have been taken care of under the terms of the agreement.

What is the position regarding extended warranty, the one you pay for after the factory warranty expires , will it be cheaper since the warranty company will not have to cover the engine ? It should be !!

Got my letter from PCNA today. Letter is dated Nov. 27th.
The second para graph reads, " Effective at once, the limited warranty on all your vehicle's internal engine components continues for ten years from your vehicle's original in-service date, up to 120,000 total miles on your vehicle, which ever comes first."
