Not at all. It was definitely coming. Maybe we just sped things up a little.

Great work guys! COG et tal did the community a huge service, and like it's been stated before, it's really refreshing and reassuring that Porsche stands behind their products and listens to the community. Thanks to all!

Hey robmypro, any indication an extended warranty is also coming for the GT4's transmission?

We didn't go there. Single topic meeting.

I have the sense that the defective 3rd gears were limited to a defined range of VIN's. I would think you'll be taken care of if you're in this range with a failure.

The fix available as replacement parts, absolutely but an extended warranty??? Up until today (old) Porsche's response would've been, "here's a TSB for your troubles... oh ya, it is written in Navajo and we are releasing it on a 7340 tape via our registered importer in the Peruvian Amazon that has no contact with the outside world"

One other really cool thing to come out of this should be some really awesome hardware/software for monitoring the CAN BUS that is tailored to the GT3 in a level of detail that probably hasn't been seen before outside of PAG?

I'd like to add my congratulations to Rob and the COG team (and to those who supplied data and information). Your focus and prep for the meeting was excellent, your presentation was purposeful, and the outcome exceeded [all?] expectations.

Meetings I attend often get 1 or 2 of those qualities, seldom all 3. Almost every company has issues, how they remedy them sets the bar.

PS - really enjoyed your meeting recap on page 1 and the pics throughout.
PPS - anyone raise the "I built a 1 of 1 manual GT3 RS" thread? Would have been a great lunch topic, just say'n.
