put yourself in their shoes:
If i have too many PTS requests which i can fulfill. I will increase the price to get less requests. Absolutely clear.
All the rest would not be logic; in times where you can choose whom to sell a car for any price you want; and in times where you struggle with production capacity.
Why they should make things cheaper? They prefer to deny "just" each 2nd PTS request; instead of rejecting 4 out of 5...

Now I am worried my C2 PTS order gets dinged. Why build a C2 PTS and make $7k for PTS when you can make a GT3 and make $13k for PTS? PCNA please take my money and give me my GT3 (and my C2 so I get the color approved). I promise I won't buy another Lotus or Ferrari and I won't turn to the dark side (McClaren).

I will ask Sean if he can bring this up to Andrew as a side discussion in the morning. No promises.

I have no problem with this, there is demand for PTS so Porsche is raising price to reduce that demand. I will still order PTS if I have the opportunity to despite the increase in price. I wonder what % of people who wanted PTS will now not get it because of the higher price. Might make PTS even more valuable if less people get it but I don't care about that....I buy what I want and pay accordingly.

That says it all. As long as people are willing, they will price it that way. Supply, demand, tolerance. No different than anyone on here that you would price your car at whatever the market will bear. Nobody is forcing you to buy it so walk away if you disagree because someone else will be waiting in line.

In Aus, this PTS number is going to be embarrassing...$25K ?? but ..Ill still go PTS. Im looking at the total price and compared to alternatives, its a comparable/favourable all in over here. A man 997 4.0 are 500+ and hard to find. Im not on list for new gt3RS (assume manual) and the R's are still 700+, so even with Aus20K+ PTS the car will still be cheaper (yes could be cheaper with no pTS) but its as I hope to configure it. Im probably mad, but personal choice.
