Default Annual Cost of Ownership

Just curious what your realistic costs are, fuel not included.

If you have had a reoccurring issue, please mention it. This could be a beneficial thread to others looking to get a Cayman. Might as well include your model too since this may vary from a 987.1 to a 981 and S vs Base.

Thanks!

Are you including property taxes or just maintenance and repairs? What about insurance, which will obviously vary for many reasons unrelated to the car itself?

I was thinking about mods... cause if you include mods, this car is very expensive... well, at least in the first year.

I put $1,200 to $3,000 which covers insurance, registration and maintenance for my GT4, excluding consumables like brake pads, rotors, tires etc. as that will vary with the amount of street use versus track use.

Way too many variables. To begin with, depends on the car. My GT4 cost very little, sold it after a year and 7k miles, for about msrp. Just cost insurance, fuel, and clear bra.
997 GTS Cab, OTOH cost dollars per miles driven over 4 years, partially because of low miles put on the car.
Best way to keep depreciation cost down on most models is to drive them into the dirt.

I put $1200-3000, which includes only maintenance and tires for my 987S-2.

If we aren't talking about external costs such as insurance and fuel my ownership costs have been lower than any other fun car I have owned (0 - $1,200). That number does spread the cost of tires over a couple of years, otherwise I would have one year above $1,200.

After owning a 928 the maintenance on the Spyder has been peanuts.

If it's a normal model, not a GT or a Spyder, just look at Porsche lease rates and that will tell you the depreciation per month. This is the biggest cost 9f ownership, and would usually put the cost at 1200/mo, or so, for a 100k car.
