Default Used Spyder prices

This popped up on my alerts..
Msrp was 100 originally.
https://admin.porschedealer.com/repo...CC2A8XGS152368

Now has 6500 miles and asking over MSRP..

http://www.rdsautomotivegroup.com/in...uare-PA-19073/

Seems just a tad high..I'm seeing few with much lower miles closer to (or below) MSRP

Really? Lmk where because I haven't seen any on cars.com well under sticker. The cheapest I saw was a Rhodium with no LWBS for 92k

The currently offered used 981 Spyder are all at MSRP or well above :-(. Only the gray one in Scottsdale seems to be different. He stand many weeks for sale in the internet, then disappeared and now it is back on sale at Porsche Scottsdale for even less ($83,900)...
The "well below MSRP" statement seems to be now outdated... Let's wait and see how the market settles as the number of new ones shrunk very fast.

They can definitely be found under MSRP, just maybe not for a spec you are wanting

This one sold recently

https://rennlist.com/forums/vehicle-...er-spyder.html

it also seemed to be on dealers site a little bit before it hit RL

I encourage you to look at the graph in the bottom right hand corner of this advertisement: https://www.carsforsale.com/vehicle/details/19851614
Patience is a virtue , especially when it comes to buying cars like this. Don't get swept up in the "i've got to get it before it's gone" hype. These cars will come down in price, as they are already starting to do. Also, analysis of the automarket in general projects a decline in demand and improvement in prices over the next 6 months. Being in a hurry to buy a car is a great way to lose money. Some people have money to burn some don't. Oh, and it took me 15 minutes to find these 3, imagine what you can find and negotiate with real effort.

What exactly is that graph showing - data for all Spyders or this specific car?

My own observation has been a decline in all convertible prices in late September. They come right back up in the late winter.

If your patient, December and January will net you a better discount.

^^^ Unfortunately, the graph is probably meaningless. Spyder-only sales means limited sample, and within the transactions that are shown, there's probably some considerable range in MSRP's that skews the data. A more meaningful chart would show % discount / premium to MSRP. That said, the underlying point (and others voiced above) is correct: be patient, and buy off-season: convertibles in Dec / Jan are on sale in most parts of the country.

That's what I was trying to understand. Figured it could just be the MSRP basis.

This car's MSRP was $87,850. Although it looks like a good deal, it is still a used car for 96% of MSRP, so it held its value pretty well. Generally, the dealer listed prices for used Spyders has gone up the past month relative to MSRP.

fewer spyders made than GT4s; i believe in the long run they will hold their value and likely increase based on it becoming a purist roadster collector's car.
