Holy crap! Is this normal for an oil change?

I didn't feel like doing an oil change (on my Volvo v70) on a rainy day, so I took my own oil and filter to a Grease Monkey.
I thought I was paying a lot at $38 for the service with my own oil.
I paid $180 with Mobil 1 from a Porsche Indy shop in the Dallas area.

Looks right to me. $146 for labor, probably an hour's rate. There are dealers down here near the city that charges close to $200/hr. $113 for parts also sounds right. Probably around 9-10 quarts at 9 bucks a quart, plus the filter. Tax is correct, that's 7 % of $259. So I guess you went to Saratoga County, where the tax rate is 7%.

Curious how long it took for a simple oil exchange. I'm a new Panamera4 owner (2012 bought 2/9/16) and took it in for 4yr check before warranty is up only has 15,700 miles. Also A/C was blowing warm air. Found the compressor needs replacing. They've had it for a week now. Is this normal? Does it take that long for parts to arrive? From Germany?

If you live in Greenville, Westchester county you got a BARGIN! If you live in Greene county, the price is about right.
Here in central PA, the cost is $240 (with PCA discount) + tax when I had it done a month and a half ago. If you're a PCA member, most dealers will give you a 10-15% discount.

Got the oil and filter changed in my Spyder at 1K miles.
Called three So Cal dealers. All quoted me $350 saying it included a "multi-point inspection," car wash, etc., etc.
I said I don't need a multi-point inspection as the car is brand new and I wash it myself so can we back that out and get to a reasonable price?
Uh. . . no, that's our lowest basic service cost. Huh?
One said he would "work with me." Ended up being $239.
Strange how you can walk out feeling good about paying "only" $239 for an oil change
