What would you do?
No not the silly ABC show. Those of you with CF buckets, I don't know about you but I am a bit reluctant to allow anyone too heavy to go for a ride. I did it once and prayed the entire way the dude wouldn't crack it, he didn't. Anyhow, I have another beast of a friend who has never seen it and I'm reluctant to let him as I'm concerned about stuffing that much body habitus into a CF bucket. What say you Rennlisters?
I would hope Porsche CF seats could hold up with a heavier than the weight of an average F1 driver person seated, but maybe not.
'course with the consensus being Porsche doesn't know $%#@ about anything else car related I guess questioning its seat choice had to come sometime.
But look on the bright side. Maybe the seat is safe. Maybe one of your heavier friends pulls the door handle off opening the door and the ride has to be canceled.

CF is known for it's strength, not it's fragility. You're being overly protective. Besides, the bucket seats are self-limiting for size/girth based on their design. Only limited sized people can even fit in them.
not sure if it matters in this situation but if these are the standard Boxster spyder/ Cayman R sport bucket seats my understanding is they are fiberglass and the carbon fiber is just a veneer. They seem very sturdy to me. If someone can physically get into them I doubt they would damage them.

I had the 996 GT3 seats in my 2001 Boxster S for 10 years.
At least twice, I needed to drive people who were too large/heavy to fit in the seat properly. They sat on the seat's bottom side bolsters. No damage.
A seat that could be broken by a heavy person sitting on/in it - even improperly - would not hold up in an accident where almost any G-loads were involved.
BTW, they never asked for a ride in that car again.
