I think the latest factory IMS bearings can't be replaced though (post '06). My '05 boxster IMS has 2 separate blew ups in early '06, '08 and both were replaced within warranty. Though the CPO warranty is expiring soon, I wouldn't worry too much about it. The probability of a single car suffering 3 IMS I think would be is below 1% Also the 08 engine should have the latest bearings.
