Chris,
Yours is definitely more heavily optioned than mine. Would you believe when I tried to buy that from them in late September they would not budge from a $ 63.5K price on it? They had already started the warranty on it as well, so that made the Naples car a better deal for me. Yours sat outside a long time, I'd drive by there often and see it out there week after week along with the special edition orange Cayman S they had (might still have!) and a few others. You got a heck of a deal on that one at $ 51K, wish they had not been so stubborn on price back in the fall!
I've got that vinyl on my commercial trucks, there's not much you can do to brighten it up. I've found a little machine rubbing compound works pretty well on the red and blue vinyl I have on my diesel trucks. Don't use any solvents like Alcohol on it, as that can weaken the adhesive under the vinyl.

When the guys on this forum were talking about some leftover 2008s still out there for super deals I thought I would get an RS 60 and sell my S2000. I did make an offer on one in Tennessee and one in NY but both of those dealers wouldn't get near the 50K I was offering. Those cars had MSRPs at around 72K. So then I found this car with all these options that ended up being the best deal of all. The gray stripes have just faded from sitting in the sun so some Plexus will probably bring them back. That stuff works wonders on motorcycle plastic parts so I think it wil fix those vinyl decals as well. The dealer in NY still has that new RS 60 I believe. Arlington finally bit the bullet and advertised the DE2 for 54.9 and I bit then we split the difference. I can't wait to put some miles on it.

What's funny is the three of us here actually intended on buying the same car. I was going after this car when I gave up on the car in Louisville. That's when I saw Kris just bought the car. Immidiately after that is when the car I bought showed up on Autotrader. His is definitely fully optioned. Here's my build sheet given to me by the dealer.

Duane, a funny thing just happened. My cell just rang with a 703 number. I thought who is that. It was Arlington auto group. I sent them an email yesterday asking for my plate registration ect. This usually take 4 weeks. They had collected PA sales tax and were going to take care of reg tags title but have run into problems so I told them to send the tax money back to me and I will register it myself. My car is still sitting here with an expired 30 day VA plate although with this weather I am not going anywhere. I was supposed to get a Pa inspection within 30 days as well.

Hey Guys,
There is a dealer in Boston that still has a PDE2. Its in their pre-owned on-line inventory, but their pricing is nuts. They are asking $66,700. The car supposedly has about 100 miles, is not CPO'd and I don't know when it went into service. I almost bought an RS60 from them but the deal fell through.
Great photos of your cars guys. Cas, again I'm jealous of your fantastic weather. We keep getting snow here in the Northeast, but nothing as bad as what Chris has to deal with.
Best regards,
Dino

And don't forget, its not CPO'd and depending on the date it was first put into service its warranty is partially used up and its getting shorter by the day!
Best regards,
Dino

This section of Rennlist have very little traffic. We'll have to go to other forums/Websites to locate more owners. From what Duane stated there might be only 32 of these in the US. That's not a lot of people. If you look at the RS60 list on this forum they don't have much luck either. Only 25 of them here.

I went to a notary yesterday and paid the PA taxes. I was able to do a plate transfer from the S2000 so that saved a little money as well. I still need to get it inspected in the next few weeks as this snow is finally starting to melt. It is supposed to get to 40 by Friday so hopefully this winter is on the way out.

We've had a lot of rain the last few days to wash away salt/sand etc. So I'm hoping spring is on its way so that I can start putting some miles on my car. I only got to drive it a few times before putting it away for the winter.
Best regards,
Dino

Wow I feel for you guys. We've been having a lot of rain here lately and the cars have been in the garage. I was in LA this past weekend and went to Long Beach on Sunday. What a day. It must have been in the low 70's.

Now I'm just waiting for my plates that I ordered.
