It's funny to see Porsche trying to beat the laws of physics against Ferrari F430 in FIA GT2 class this year.
Every single dedicated racing car on the planet is mid-engined, even the RS Spyder.
How long will it take Porsche to realize that they should just give up and market the 911 as a luxury GT and get on with making the Cayman platform into the racing car.

Its fairly straight forward to replace the stock Audi gearbox with a PAG box, see the Ruf 3800 K.
I am told that fitting the dry sump split case block into the Cayman is difficult, so they run with the wet sump engine and a PAG gearbox.
However, the race Cayman of Alzen uses the dry sump engine, however hacking a race car around is easier than it is with a road car.
This leaves several of us with a wait whilst the problem of fitting a quart into a pint pot is resolved.
